Till LEAPS UPWARD Solder and Roofing Materials "i Increase in Price. " The price of tinners' supplies and all kinds of roofing went up with the price of groceries and other commodities. Solder took a jump of about fifty per cent last week. Rubber roofing immediately became subject to higher quotations when ocean traffic became uncertain. Tin which depends largely on foreign markets is advancing steadily. As general increases in the price of lumber have been made, shingles have become an expensive covering. This will not have a marked effect on building, it is said, as much of the work hps been contracted and is subject to the old prices. However, small Job work of tinners will cost more than it did before the opening of hostilities on the continent. MASONIC CALENDAR WEDNESDAY Webb lodge, No 24, F. & A. M. Stated meeting.
