A plan different from that of opening day will be triid. While there will be races of various kinds, more races of an amusing nature will be given. The concessionists have not decided to nave band concerts. Xight fireworks will be plentiful at the lake. A flat space in the north hillside has been selected as the most suitable from which to give the display. The fireworks will be fired as far as possible over the lake. The big races at Greenville, O., opened at the fair grounds, which boasts of the best half mile track in the state. The races will be held five days, from the twenty-third to the twenty-sixth inclusive. Oreenvill is a member of the Ohio racing circuit. This is the second season the races have been held there. There are over one hundred entries and already over fifty horses are there and being tried out daily on the track. Henry Hodson, of Athens, Ga., has two horses in the 2:28 pace and 2:21 trot and there are a number from other cities. There will be music by the Greenville band and a big time is expected. W. L. Talbott is starter and Guy C. Baker is secretary.

A successor to the Pilot team, withdrawn from the S. A. L. Saturday, will je named at a meeting of directors jf the league tonight at the Richmond flub rooms, in the. Thistlethwaite block. Easthaven was used in the vacancy caused by the quitting of the Automakers. Saturday but their adiition was not affirmed at that time. The only objection to the Easthaven team is that a ruling in etiect at the institution grounds requires that all games played there be finished by 4:30. Teams have objected to this as it is next to impossible for men to get to the grounds early enough in the afternoon to complete games by that early hour.
