COUNTY POSTPONES BUlUff SCALES Council Decides to Use City Instrument for Weighing Its Coal.
A county scale will not be purchased, at least this year, members of the county council decided Saturday in passing upon appropriations at the court house. It had been proposed to purchase a big weighing scale with which to weigh the coal used by the county. The scale would cost $500. The county buys each year 500 tons of coal to heat the court house, seventy-five
tons to heat the county jail and seven

Friendless Women. As the city expects to install a public, weighing scale which will be absolutely accurate, county council decided to make use of it and pay the regular weighing fee, at least, for a year. Alter that a scale may be installed west of the court house, near the en-

It Is stated the family members phoned to Sheriff Bayer for protection but the sheriff did not respond to the call. William Reece was a forty-year-old bachelor when he was married seven years ago. Mrs. Reece had been twice previously married. A baby was born to them a year ago last January. It has been known for some time that affairs were not going well in the household and the present situation is believed to be the culmination of the domestic friction. Reece, who formerly owned a 70-acre farm, one of the best pieces of land in the township, sold the place after he was married and two farms which he subsequently purchased have been placed in his wife's name. Town Favors Reece. Reece in the past two or three years has broken greatly in health.

The sheriii! could not act with-' out proper legal authority in releasing Reece, nor at a late hour Saturday! afternoon could proper officials be found to institute proceedings for his release. i Nex Wednesday was set as the date; for the inquest and it is probable that j t ountain City citizenship will express Itself forcefully in behalf of Reece at j that time. The belief is general that;
Reece is not insane, but that the charges have been brought against, him as a result of domestic infelicity in the home. Smash Windows. Just the extent of the demonstration at the Reece home Saturday night is not kuown, but residents of the north part of town attest to the fact that it must have been of a highly demonstrative nature. There were some iroken windows in the house, some itones were lying about, and several .hots were fired. At the home besides vlrs. Reece was her young daughter.

There is one sure way that never fails to remove dandruff completely and that is to dissolve it. This destroys it entirely. To do this, just get about four ounces of plain, ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. P.y morning most, if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy, every single sign and trace of it . no matter how much dandruff you may have. You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop instantly, and your hair will be fluffy,
j lustrous, glossy, silky and soft, and ! look and feci a hundred times better. I If you want to keep your hair looking rich, do by all means get rid of ' dandruff, for nothing destroys the hair so quickly. It not only starves the hair and makes it fall out, but it makes i it stringy, straggly, dull, dry, brittle j and lifeless, and everybody notices it.
