REQUIRES BOTTLING OF MILKJOR SALE Amendment to Go Before Council Allows Dipping of Large Quantities.
At a. meeting of the council ordinance committee last evening It was decided to recommend to council at its next meeting that Sections 3 and 4 of the dairy inspection ordinance be amended by providing that milk In Quantities of a gallon or less must be distributed in the city in bottles, and providing for the thorough sterilization of milk bottles and other vessels used for mil. The.se amendments were submitted by Councilman O'Neal at the time that the proposed dairy ordinance was defeated about a month ago. The question of amending the old dairy ordinance by providing for the tuberculin testing of all dairy cattle was discussed last night but the committee decided not to recommend such action as this time, fearing such an amendment might meet with such opposition as to defeat tho other two amendments.

Harry Winters, a peddler, was brought before Mayor Robbins in citycourt this morning by Marketmaster McKinley, who charged him with having sold worthless blackberries to a South Second street housewife, who had entered a complaint against Winters. Mayor Robbins gave Winters a lecture against the vicious practice of cheating women, and then dismissed him with the promise that a similar offense would result in a fine. Another man also complained to Prosecutor Roller this morning that he had purchased ten dozen eggs only to find a large number of them were extremely bad. The prosecutor told him to make a demand that the money paid for the eggs be refunded, and that if the demand were refused to file charges.
