FILES SECOND CASE AGAINST F, MILLER
Another echo in the domestic troubles, of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Miller
was heard in city court today when an affidavit was filed against Miller by his sister-in-law, Mrs. William Pugh, South Eighth street, charging him with assault and battery. Yesterday Miller entered habeas corpus proceedings in the circuit court to secure the custody of his two-year-old daughter, and Monday he drew a fine of $25 and costs and thirty days in jail for assaulting his wife, which ruling he appealed to the circuit court. When Miller attacked his wife at the Pugh home Saturday night and beat her so severely she was rendered
unconscious, in which condition she remained for nearly an hour, Mrs. Pugh sought to protect her sister, with the result that she was struck and kicked hy her brother-in-law. Prosecutor Rel lev said today that he had been informed that Miller shoved one of the women partly through a plate glass window in a door. It is probable Miller will be arraigned on the charge filed against him by Mrs. Pugh in city court tomorrow morning. The hearing of the- habeas corpus case promises to be a very spicy procedure.
