There are good reasons why Chamberlain's Cough Remedy is a favorite with the mothers of young children. Read what one of them says of it: "There could be no better medicine than Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. My children were all sick with whooping cough. One of them was in bed, had a high fever and was coughing up blood. Our doctor gave me Chamberlain's Cough Remedy and the first dose eased them, and three bottles cured them." says Mrs. R. A. Donaldson, of Lexington, Miss. For sale by all dealers. (Advertisement) WEST MANCHESTER ! 4) Samuel Stephens, of Portland, Ind., has come to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Jerry Studebaker. Trone and wife left today to THROW AWAY YOUR EYEGLASSES A Free Prescription You can have filled and use at home. i Do you wear glasses? Are you a (lctlm of eyestrain or other eye weakness? If so, you will be glad to know that there Is real hope for you. Many whose eyes were failing say they have bad their eyes restored through the principle of this wonderful free prescription. One man says after trying .It: "I was almost blind; could not see to read at all. Now I can read everything without glasses and my eyes do not water any more. At night they would pain dreadfully; now they feel fine all the time. It was like a miracle to me." A lady who used it says: "The atmosphere seemed hazy with or without glasses, but after using this prescription for fifteen days, everything seems clear. I can even read fine print without glasses." It is believed that thousands who wear glasses can now discard them in a reasonable time and multitudes more will be able to strengthen their eyes so as to be spared the trouble and expense om ever getting glasses. ' Eye troubles of many descriptions may be wonderfully benefited by following the simple rules. Here Is the prescription: Go to any active drug store and get a bottle of Optona, fill a two-ounce bottle with warm water, drop in one Optona tablet, and allow to dissolve. With the liquid bathe the eyes two to four times daily. You should notice your eyes clear up perceptibly right from the start and inflammation win quickly disappear. If your eyes are bothering you even a little take steps to save them now before it is too late. Many hopelessly blind might have been saved if they had cared for their eyes In time.

BITS OF WISDOM In spite of the efforts of their teachers, twelve and thirteen year old school boys and girls in the Wayne county schools have peculiar ideas, confusing historical events and men. Asked who invented the sewing machine, a pupil on an examination pare answered that Dewey was the inventor of the sewing machine. "Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?" was answered: "Mr. Greathouse wrote the Declaration of Independence." "In case of a broken arm, do nothing until the doctor arrives, and then give the person a cup of hot coffee as a stimulant," was the answer to a physiology question. "Name three devotional songs," drew forth the following: "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "My Loving Honey Man" and "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine." Pupils in the eighth grade made these answers on papers filed with County Superintendent Williams. Palladium Want Ads Paj7

GRANDMA USED SAGE TEA TO DARKEN HAIR She Mixed Sulphur With It To Restore Color, Gloss, Thickness. Common garden sage brewed into a heavy tea with sulphur and alcohol added, will turn gray, streaked and faded hair beautifully dark and luxuriant, remove every bit of dandruff, stop ' scalp itching and falling hair; Just a few applications will prove fb, revelation if you hair Is fading, gray or dry, scraggly and thin. Mixing ' .e Sage Tea and Sulphur recipe at home, though, is troublesome. An easier way is to get the ready-to-use tonic, costing about 50 cents a large" bottle at drug stores, known as "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy," thus avoiding a lot of muss. While wispy, gray, faded hair is not sinful, we all desire to retain our youthful appearance and attractiveness. By darkening your hair with Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur, no one can tell, because it does it so naturally, so evenly. You just dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and dra wit through your hair, taking one small strand af a time; by morning all gray hairs have i disappeared, and, after another appli cation or two, your hair becomes beau tifully dark, glossy, soft and luxuri ant. .
