From a small sales room on the Centerville farm to what was considered very large quarters in their store at Centerville and then to their 50,000 square feet floor space now devoted to their business in Richmond, is a shining example of progress based on honesty, reliability and integrity in business relations with customers and in selling only the most reliable products. . Starting with the Studebaker wagons, which for years have been recognized as a standard product, from time to time other lines of vehicles were added as well as farm implements and farm machinery, until today the company unquestionably offers the best selection of farm implements and machinery as well as farm vehicles to be had from any concern in the United States. t the present time McConaha Co., offers the complete line of machinery manufactured by the A International Harvester Co., the Oliver Chilled Plow Co., and the Gale Mfg. Co., the John Deere line of farm implements, the Union City Carriage Co., and Wayne Works vehicles, the Royal Fence, a Richmond product manufactured by Elliott & Reed and known as standard throughout tahe country and the celebrated Globe Fertilizer manufactured in Louisville, Ky., which for twenty-one years they have sold to thousands of farmers in Eastern Indiana. They are also representatives of the Indiana Silo Co., of Anderson, Ind., having the record of selling more silos for them than any other company in this section of the state.

A few years ago they added the most complete line of standard pianos sold in Eastern or Southern Indiana by any one company and also have had manufactured for them according to the most progressive ideas one of the best sewing machines that money can buy and sold by them under their own name with the McConaha guarantee which for thirty-four years has been as good as gold. It is rarely that a company can point to such a long period of uninterrupted business success. Each year has shown a constant increase in the volume of business transacted. Not one year in the entire thirty-four but shows an increase over the preceding year and during 1913. the worst business year generally throughout the country in a decade, in the first nine months the business transacted by the company amounted to $11,400 more than was done during the entire year of 1912. This marvelous business success is due to the adoption of two principles incorporated by the McConaha Co.. thirty-four years ago and which has never been departed from since: first to sell only standard goods, the best to be had and the name of which was an insurance of service and efficiency to the buyer; and second, in giving to each and every customer of McConaha Co., the most honest and fair treatment. No customer who ever had any cause for complaint but was accorded the most generous treatment with the result that now after thirty-four years the company is selling its standard lines of goods to thousands of customers through Western Ohio, Eastern and Southern Indiana and to the sons and grandsons of their original customers when they first began business, thirty-four years ago.

Six years ago an automobile department was added to the business and in selecting cars to offer to the trade the same care and attention was given to insure efficiency and service to buyers that had always been given heretofore in the selection of other lines they handle. It was plain to be seen that the demand for cars seemed to be in two classes, one selling in the vicinity of $800 to $1,200 and the other the very highest grade car for which there is a limited demand as compared with the lower priced cars and which had to be of exceptional value and extraordinary' worth to meet the wants of that class who had the price and could afford to get the best. In selecting a canto sell in the vicinity of $1,000 practically every car manufactured in this country at or about this price was offered to the firm on account of the exceptional business success they had achieved and the financial responsibility which they enjoyed. Having so many cars to select from, thoroughly looking into the power and mechanical construction and conveniences offered at the price, they selected the Chevrolet and Wayne Works cars as more for the money than was offered by any other manufacturer, and present the Chevrolet line selling from $750 to $875 and the Wayne Works line selling from $900 to $1,500, with every confidence that part for part these cars will be found superior to any cars offered in Eastern Indiana in their class, and that whoever buys them will receive a full one hundred cents on the dollar in an automobile and that they are of exceptional value considering the price. The specifications of these cars which follow will show that they are exceptional cars and they are offered as a standard product the kind that you would expect to get from McConaha Co., honest all through.

THE

PILOT

In the field of high grade cars the same unusual advantages enjoyed in selecting the highest grade car to be offered to the trade at the lowest price, quality considered, was at the command of McConaha Co. On account of their business success and financial credit every manufacturer of high grade cars was only too anxious to have them offer their cars to the trade and special inducements of all kinds were presented to McConaha Co., including long discounts, favorable dating terms, etc., to induce McConaha Co. to represent these manufacturers. It was at once apparent after a study of the various cars offered by their manufacturers and including the cars sold in Richmond that there was only one selection to be made in offering a high grade car, and that was the PILOT, a Richmond product, with its fast growing national reputation and selling in every state in the Union and giving the greatest satisfaction to their owners in the mountains and deserts where only the strongest built cars could give service. Not only did the Pilot have exceptional power and the most advanced ideas in construction, but it had every convenience, necessity, luxury and refinement that could be asked for by the most discriminating and critical automobile buyer. Every part of the strongest and best material, put together by skilled workmen for which Richmond is famous, built in a factory where each car received individual care and attention, built under the most economic conditions, it represented more for the money than possibly could be had from any other manufacturer. It was the car "DeLUXE" for the man who wanted everything to be asked for in an automobile and at a price, quality considered, hundreds of dollars below what could be obtained from any manufacturer in Detroit, Indianapolis or any other automobile center. In fact it was found in a study of the various high grade cars offered to McConaha Co. that there were only a few cars built in this country which could approach the Pilot from the standpoint of high grade, intrinsic worth, and in some instances the list price on these cars was double that of the Pilot.
