i It cost Wayne county $326 to support the nine boys who hare been sent to the Plainfield institution for

incorrigible boys. Two counties in the Sixth district. Union and Franklin, ihave no boys at the institution. During the last stz months only two tboys were sent from this county. The state Ipays the other half. The boys are kept there at an expense of less than $150 a year for each one, or less than $75 a year cost to Wayne county. Marion county, of which Indianapolis is the seat, leads the state in the number in the institution. There are 118 boys there, mostly from the city of Indianapolis. In the Sixth district, Shelby leads the other seven counties with ten boys iat Plainfield and Wayne follows with nine. Others are Fayette, five; Franklin jione; Hancock, four; Henry, one; Rush, seven; Union, none. Randolph county, north of Wayne, and about the 'same size, has five boys in the institution.

Richmond postoffice is now paying about thirty railway mail clerks, whereas a few months ago. only eighteen were n the pay roll here. The ones transferred are chiefly from I Indianapolis. Owing to the confusion !of mailing checlw between cities, sev'eral have been added here and a few 'taken away to simplify matters.

The "1,000 members' campaign which will be conducted this year by members of the Commercial club committee on membership, will soon be arranged for. This announcement was made today by Lee B. Nusbaum, chairman of the committee. Because of other activities of club members and members of the committee, Mr. Nusbaum has deferred calling his committee together but is now in a position to plan the campaign. The last campaign brought the membership up to 600 andu few of these have been lost since them. More than

400 ne wmembers will be the aim of the committee. It is understood Mr. Nusbaum has some original plans for conducting the campaign. Simultaneous boosting by all members of the club will be asked
