Zl -trvxrfc. RESPECT COURT NOTE Indianapolis Turnkeys Are to Obey Orders. INDIANAPOLIS, April 10 The next time Police Judge Deery sends a note to the turnkey on duty at the city prison requesting that an attorney be admitted to talk with a client,, the note will be regarded as an order. This is the story: Attorney Dan Brown called at the city prison to consult Harry Lewis, a prisoner, Brown's client. The turnkey informed Brown he could not see Lewis. It is against the rules. Brown went to Judge Deery and the court wrote a note explaining to the turnkey that the law gives an attorney the right to talk with a prisoner if the prisoner is the attorney's client. The turnkey replied that he received orders only from Chief of Police Perrott and not from Judge Deery. Captain Quigley heard of the incident and apologized to Judge Deery and informed him that the turnkeys would be instructed to honor any order or not the court might write. Strengthens Weak and Tired Women. "I was under a great strain nursing a relative through three months' sickness," writes Mrs. J. C. Van De Sande, of Kirkland, 111., and "Electric Bitters kept me from breaking down. I will never be without it." Do you feel tired and worn out? No appetite and food won't digest? It isn't the spring weather. You need Electric Bitters. Start a month's treatment today; nothing better for stomach, liver and kidneys. The great spring tonic. Relief or money back. 50c and $1.00. Recommended by A. G. Luken & Co. Advertisement) r ECONOMY Rev. Preston Pholemus, the new M. E. pastor, will deliver his first sermon Easter Sunday at 10:30 o'clock. Miss Dora Pierce arrived from Daytona, Florida, Monday evening, where she spent the winter. Mrs. E. P. Thornburg, Mrs. Will Brooks and Walter Thornburg attended Mrs. Lydia Martin's funeral at Portland, Monday. An Armenian beggar was here orecently and when refused money became angry and talked very abusive to women especially. Two men of the "Burning Bush" faith were here in the interest of an orphanage. About twenty people attended the taffy pulling at Willie Charles' Wednesday night. Mrs. Emaline Cole and Mrs. Nettle Cole were at Muncie Wednesday. Rev. G. M. Martin, the pastor of the M. E. church here for the past three years and a half was assigned to Williamsburg, which is in the northwestern part of thes tate. The Misses Anna Hadley and Elsie Clements recently spent an evening with Williamsburg friends. We were treated to some exceptionally fine singing by a Centerville quartet and a vocal duet by Mrs. Emma Neff and daughter, Louise, of Greensfork. Also Flossy Neff played a march that was beautiful. Farmers are way behind with their spring plowing and when the weather becomes settled they will be a busy set. of men for the rest of the season. ..Mrs. Laura Flemming and Mrs. Vera flindman were in Richmond Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Omar Smith attended DRINK MORE WATER IF KIDNEYS BOTHER Eat less meat and take Salts for Backache or Bladder trouble Neutralizes acids. liic acid in meat excites the kidneys, they become overworked; get sluggish, ache, and feel like lumps of lead. The urine becomes cloudy; the bladder is irritated, and you may be obliged to seek relief two or three times during the night. When the kidneys clog you must help them flusli ofi the body's urinous waste or you'll be a real sick person shortly. At first you feel a dull misery in the kidney region, you suffer from backache, sick headache, dizziness, stomach gets sour tongue coated and you feel rheumatic iwinges when the weather is bad. Eat less meat, drink lots of water; lso get from anv pharmacist four nuncea of .lad Salts; tn!e a tablesponful in a glsss of water before breakfast for a fe wdays and your kidneys will then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia. and has been used for generations to clean flogged kidnevs and stimulate them to VTTmal activity, also to neutralize the -fcids in urine, so it no, longer is a Source of irritation, thus ending bladder weakness. .lad Salts is inexpensive, cannot infure; makes a delightful effervescent lithia-water drink which everydne fhould take now and then to keep the kidneys clean and active. Druggists here say they sell lots of Jad Salts to folks who believe in overcoming kidney trouble while It is only trcuble.
