OTP BEST BOOKS, . MINISTERS" ADVISE The Rev. W. O. Stovall Says A Person Can Be Judged By Books Read.
"Investigate what class of library. books are read mostly and you, can teH what kind of thought the . people are working into themselves," 'declared the Rev. William Stovall, rof i the FirBt Baptist church, in his. sermon on "What Constitutes the Man,"? yesterday morning. V.'."As he thinketh in his" heart so is he. - What we do and what we think are two entirely opposite attributes. TlVhat we do is merely a sign hung out to the world that indicates we are capable; o doing and have done some(thing of worth.v "What we think is entirely hidden from every one. ; We hear of self-made men who are making a success of life, yet in their character building , they may be in worse condition than men who have not attained such high success. "Since the thinking is a matter of secrecy then we should guard against any tendencies of thinking on paths which are detrimental to our welfare. We clamor about pure foods and sanitary and fireproof buildings, but ve are careless regarding the building cf the right kind of character. "We should make thinking right for we soon realize that there is no room for wrong thoughts. The Scripture quotes, 'Bring your thoughts to the obedience of Jesus Christ.' If you do this then you can not do a wrong or a misdeed without thinking of the sacri&ce Of Christ."
