PROGRESSIVES ARE TO OPPOSE WILSOM House Members of New Party Against New Canal Policy. WASHINGTON, March 20. All the Progressive strength in congress will be thrown against President Wilson in liis efforts to repeal the toll exemption clause of the Panama Canal act, according to Rep. Murdock, leader of the house Progressives. He issued a statement today that says: "Both Democrats and Republicans are hopelessly divided. A little over one year ago all three parties covenanted with the people to exempt coastwise traffic. Today Republicans and Democrats as parties are breaking their pledges. The Progressive partv, free from the influence of sectional or selfish interest, but actuated bv principles and united by mutual conviction. Is standing by the contract with the people. Thirteen million voters in 1912 charged the American congress to carry out their will in this matter. To scorn that mandate of the people now is to violate the principles of republican government and surrender the sovereignty of the American people." A WINTER COUGH A stubborn, annoying, depressing cough hangs on. racks the body, weakens the lungs, and often leads to serious results. The first dose of Dr. King's New Discovery gives relief. Henry D. Sanders, of Cavendish, Vt., was threatened with consumption after having pneumonia. He writes: "Dr. King's New Discovery ought to be in every family; it is certainly the best of ail medicines for coughs, colds or lung trouble." Good for children's coughs. Money back if not satisfied. Price 50c and $1.00. Recommended by A. G. Luken & Co. t AdvertlsMrevtl

The public endorsement of a local citizen is the best proof that can be produced. None better, none stronger can be had. When a man comes forward and testifies to his fellow-citi-:-.ens, addresses his friends and neighbors, you may be sure he is thoroughly convinced or he would not do so. Telling one's experience when it is for the public good is an act of kindness that should be appreciated. The following statement given by a resident of Richmond adds one more to the many cases of Home Enodrsement which are being published about Doan's Kidney Pills. Read it. Mrs. John Connolly, 512 X. Sixteenth St.. Richmond, Ind.. says: "While I have never had occasion to take a kidney medicine myself, I know what Doan's Kidney Pills will do. They were used for backache and weak kidneys and they brought relief." The above statement must carry conviction to the mind of every reader. Don't simply ask for a kidney remedy ask distinctly for Doan's Kidney Pills, the same that Mrs. Conolly had the remedy backed by home testimony. 50c 11 stores. Foster-Milburn Co.. COHFESSJOPAIIITIIIG Boys Make Clean Breast to Principal Pickell.
Principal Pickell of the Richmond high school, today admitted that certain boys, students at the school, had confessed to him of painting the front of the building, "A Square Deal," in large red letters. He refused to tell how many boys were implicated in the latest act of vandalism, or to give the names of those who had confessed. He said the case would be referred to the school board, and that he would take no action In the mat ter. It is understood that one of the boys who had a prominent part In the episode, talked too much, and when confronted by the principal made a clean breast of the whole affair. Other boys then made confessions. NOTICE. I will not be responsible for any accounts incurred by William Haitman. 20-1 1 August Haitman.
