The committee appointed by President Browne to nominate tickets for the annual election to be held Saturday, March 21, reported at the post meeting last Saturday night, and the nominations were indorsed by the local organization. The two tickets will be known as the Blues and the Whites the T. P. A. colors. The blue ticket as nominated is as follows: President T. H. Hill. Vice President P. J. Freeman. Secretary-Treasurer II. A. Hasty. Directors O. G. Mitchell, Ancil Dwisrgins, W. H. Kramer and L. E. Turner. Tl.e White ticket is made up of the following names: President T. C. Harrington. Vice President C. W. Caldwell. Secretary-Treasurer E. E. Lebo. Directors John P. Highley, W. H. Kramer, T. H. Hill and A. Gordon. The candidates to the national contention are W. H. Kramer, John Hirshberg, Ed Dye, Roy Browne, Fred Haisley, T. C. Harrington, Edward Thatcher, W. A. Lamson and S. N. Jenkins. There will be four directors to elect this year instead of the usual number of three. This is caused by the resignation of Frank Highley, who has removed to Chicago, and whose place has been temporarily filled by J. P. Highley. The post will select three delegates to the national convention from the list of candidates. The fourth delegate to the Houston convention will be the secretary-treasurer, who becomes a delegate by reason of his office. The post, will give a smoker election night, when it is expected a large number will turn out. It is also the desire of the directors of the post to have the improvements to the club rooms finished by election night. At the post meeting last Saturday night one of the old customs of the post was changed. It has been for A WEAK WOMAN AND HER STORY In Flora!, ArK., Lives a Lady Who Feels That Her Strength Was Restored by Cardui. Floral, Ark. "1 must speak a good word for Cardui," writes Mrs. Viola Baker, of this place. "About a month ago I was in very bad health. I was so wtak and nervous thai 1 was not able to do my tiousework. "My husband bought me one bortie ol Cardui, the woman's tonic. 1 took it according to directions and now I am in good health. 'I think Cardui is a fina tonic for week women." And you are not the only lady who thinks so, Mrs. Raker. Thousands, like you, have written tc tell of the wonderful benefit Cardui has been to iliem. Cardui contains no minerals, or othrr powerful drugs. It contains no glycerin cr o'.her mawkish-tasting ingredients. ?! is just a pure, natural extract, of na vegetable herbs, that have been found to regulate the womanly functions End strengthen the female system. All druggists sell Cardui. Sec yours about it. N. B.-Wr to- ts!!-v M--fj Pep!., ChaffsPfm?a 'eiicfCo.. CU'W'.;-4. pen., fnr Special f .T,'r; .' vxr. and 04-paee b:v k. I years a custom to view the remains i of a deceased member of the T. P. A. j : in a body. In the future the chair- j ; man of the sick and relief committee 1 will select two other members of the ! post to go with him to the family of ; the departed brother and offer aid and I assistance with the condolence of the j post. This will do away with a large ; body of men going to the home of a i deceased member. I
Between the wet and dry election ! 5 and the post election the boys are j getting busy trying to "find out who's! who and how the other fellow is going to vote. No price has yet been placed on the various offices. i ; Charles Kinert is almost as forget-j ! ful as Bill Quigg. Everybody knows, j : or should know, that the Pan Handle station at New Castle has been moved. ' The other day as Jim Goldrick and Elmer Lebo were coming down the : street on the way to the new station, I they passed the the old station and saw Charlie kinert standing in front : of the old building. When asked j what he was doing there, he informed i 'Lebo that he had been waiting there ; a couple of hours for a train, but ' didn't see any sigs of life about the ' ; place. When asked if he didn't know j of the change in stations he recalled ' at once that he had used the new station only a week before, but by force of habit had gone to the old , station. Perhaps if Lebo and Jim ' I hadn't come along Charlie would be j still standing there in New Castle. THE RICHMOND PALLADIUM
OBITUARY. Eugenie, second child of James and Sarah Hammond, was born September 2, 1857, near Dublin, Ind. There her girlhood was passed, and there on January 5, 1880, she became the beloved wife of John D. Green and spent the first ten years of her married life in the same town quite near her maiden home. She then in 1890 moved to Richmond, Ind. During her residence of eighteen years there she made many warm friends, was an honored member of the Daughters of Pocahontas, and carried to her next place of residence, East Germantown, Ind., the regrets and best, wishes of her associates. Here she has spent the remaining six years' of her life, j The devotion of her friends and neighbors during her last sickness attest her worth since she has lived among them. By inheritance she possessed many of the traits of her English parentage. She was so truly to be depended upon, so little affected by any show of pretenses, so true to her friends. Early in life she united with the Universalist church, and always, even under circumstances through which the expression of her belief might make her unpopular, she was ever loyal to her faith. In the evidence we have, shown by the many little preparations she made, alone, unknown to even her closest friends, for the event we call death, and when we wit- j nessed the brave composed 6pirit. with whieh rTia annrnar-VmH tha nrl wo ' can not bnt be convinced that truly "Her faith was sufficient for her." On the morning of February 27, after hours of hopeless waiting, when the anxious watchers saw her peacefully sleep, we could enly say, "All is well."
