Earlham's battle tonight with Franklin marks the close of the 1913-14 seaeon and the passing of a quintet of Earlham stars, that don the war-togs for the last time to uphold the fame of the Yellow and White. Incidently the game will decide second place in tlie secondary race of Indiana colleges. ihat the game will be a battle royal from the initial whistle to the final shot is evinced by the fact that tha Franklinites have made a remarkable showing in their last games, winning three out of four games played with some of the strongest teams in the state and holding the Wabash champs to a one-point lead. Tonight's contest marks the end of a successful season for the wearers of the Yellow and White, who have made a record of seven games won out of twelve played. Tonight, will also see the passing of "Abe" Rowe, "Brer" Wolfe, "Ross" Williams, "Zack" Stanley and Lamb; five veterans that have battled for the Quaker institution in the last four years. Veterans Will Fight. The result of tonight's battle will give the winner a clear right to second place in the race. Earlham is determined to cop the second honor and with the efforts of the veterans, who will put up their hardest fight to close their college careers with a victory will give the Franklinites a stiff opposition. Reports from the camps of both teams say the two fives are in the pink of condition for tonight's go, and with the second place at stake, local supporters of the game are expected to turn out enmasse to cheer the Quakers on to victory. The teams will lineup as follows: Franklin Earlham Wygant Rowe (C) Forward Prultt Logan Forward Mulliken ..Kemper Center Klyver Lancaster Guard Cooke (C) Williams Guard Subs (Franklin) Vandiver, Kelp and Sundvall. LOCAL MANAGEMENT ASKS SUNDAY DATE WITH TINKER'S TEAM Joe Tinker and his clan of Fed baseball warriors will not be seen in this city next month, if Tinker doesn't come across with a Sunday date, is the ultimatum given the doughty leader of the Windy City outfit, by the management of the local club. A telegram from Tinker today Bays

Richmond can have Saturday, April 11, but would be unable to show In the Quaker City on the next day, as Covington, Ky., is booked for that day. The Richmond management is loath to give up the game with the Feds and has dispatched another letter in hopes that some other arrangements can be made to bring the Chicago outfit to this city on a Sunday, some time during April. Manager Kenney Is at the head of the picked team that will represent Covington in that game and the local backers think that they can make Kenney come across with the Sunday date, by exchanging dates with the Covington nine, thereby giving local bugs an opportunity of seeing Tinker's crew in action.

INDIANAPOLIS, March 6. If the farmers in the cholera Infected regions of Indiana want to save their young pigs, now is the time to act, said Dr. A. F. Nelson, state veterinarian today. From now on until May, which Is the period when most pigs are reared, every precaution should be used, because young pigs take the disease in the most virulent form and can seldom be saved. Infected hog lots should be thoroughly renovated, he said. The lota should be ployed and the buildings disinfected and all trash burned. "When possible, the young pigs should be removed to other lots than the infected ones," Dr. Nelson said. "Though there may be no cases of cholera at present, if there have been in the past, the lot probably is infected." Dr. Nelson gave the following directions for disinfecting for cholera: "Plow up the lot when possible. Burn all debris. There is no telling how long the cholera germs will remain. Use a spray pump and the following solution: Five per cent solu

tion of carbolic acid, which is one part to twenty parts of water; or use one part of bichloride of mercury to one thousand parts of water (or 6even and two-third grains of it to a pint)." "This solution comes in tablets and can be handled easily. Or use cold tar products dissolved In water. These should be used in strength about four times that indicated on the label. Parts one to twenty are best." Dr. Nelson said that whereas farmers seem to have made good progress in other respects, practically no pro-

gress has been made In the suppression of hog cholera in the last ten or twenty years. It la lack of cooperation on the farmers' part," he said, "and unless the farmer wakes up to the value of the quarantine plus the serum, he wOl continue In a bad fix." The veterinarian Bald that some counties had co-operated better than others, and that as a result their conditions were better. In this class he named Henry, Boone, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Madison, Grant and Howard counties. At present about eighty per cent of the counties in the state have some Infection. The infection at this time, however, is not as general or serious as It has been largely because many hogs have been slaughtered or have died from the disease.

At first no disease is apparently more harmless than dropsy; a little swelling of the eyelids, hands, feet, ankles or abdomen. Finally there is great shortness of breath, cough, faint spells, sometimes nausea and vomiting even bursting of the limbs and a lingering and wretched death if the dropsy is not removed. Dr. Miles has been known as a lead-

Have the children see Babe and Snookum, Coliseum Saturday afternoon 3 o'clock.

Our hardy ancestors didn't know or want mollycoddle remedies for bilious conditions. They didn't want to be always taking something. They took Podophyllin, the vegetable calomel, as soon as they noticed the coated tongue the dizziness the achy feeling the blood waves and released the Bile from the Liver. They Bald "to make the Liver act," but we have learned that the Liver is but a strainer and that Bile clogs in the Liver, leaving the body a prey to the putrid matter that should be disinfected by the Bile. Your ancestors knew that it was necessary to start this Bile, and didn't temporize. They took May-Apple Root in some form, and while it griped and sickened, they took it because it Did Deliver The Bile.

In PoDoLax you have the same thing, but without the gripe and nansea. It acts so quietly that you are never disturbed in your daily vocations. You or your children should take a

spoonful at bedtime as soon as you ; notice the bad taste the bad breath : the coated tongue. Do so and you are ' free from it the next day. To have it , In the house means to take It early ' and be relieved quickly o by all means pet a bottle at the first drug ' store and take a stitch in time. If we could only prove to you that PoDoLax is not a purging cathartic- j not a mollycoddle laxative but a ; gentle loosening of the Bile from the j

Liver you would require no urging, but would provide a family bottle for regular use. A trial is the only proof.
