Temperance Required. "In this age when the traveling salesman must be always alert to all forms of competition he finds no room In his daily duties to visit the bar room and proceed to get lit up and then make the rounds, to his customers. He soon finds that his reception at that place is exceedingly modest. "One of the leading mercantile men of this country recently made the statement that in 5 years a traveling man who hit booze and smoked cigarets would find it hard to get a position with any reputable firm. Execution of James Pletv Slowest in State History
HARTFORD, Conn., March 4. The slowest execution in the history of Connecticut was recorded early today when James Plew, descendant of the notorious Dukes family, was hanged for the murder of William O. Wakefield. Mrs. Bessie Wakefield, paramour of the hanged man, whose appeal argued in the supreme court yesterday acted as a stay of execution with Plew, occupied a cell a hundred feet from the execution house, but at no time did she make any inquiries concerning Plew. Dressed in a new suit of black, with his arms firmly strapped to his side, Plew entered the death chamber with

Stop Falling Hair and Itching Scalp. There is one sure way that has never failed to remove dandruff at once, and that is to dissolve it, then you destroy it entirely. To do this, just get about four ounces of plain, common liquid arvon from any drug store (this is all you will need) apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it gently with the finger tips. By morning, most if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve, and entirely destroy every single sign und trace of it, no matter how much dandruff you may have. You will find all itching and digging of the scalp will stop instantly and
your hair will be fluffy, lustrous, j glossy, silky and soft, and look and I feel a hundred times better. j lf you value your hair, you should i get rid of dandruff at once, for noth-i ing destroys thp hair so quickly.
