Photograph made in the lunchroom of a large waist factory in New York, where the 120 girl employes devote more of their lunch hour to learning the new steps of the tango than to eating. The innovation has proved to be a fhfst successful experiment, according to J. L. Margulies, proprietor of ihe factory. He declares that since the tango has been introduced at mkl-day, the entire atmosphere of the shop has been changed. Mr. Marguhes says the girls work more cheerfully and accomplish more than ever before. Many other factory owners are planning to introduce the tango lunchroom in their establishments.

ANDERSON SPEAKER AT FRIDAY MEETING Methodist Bishop Will Discuss the Practical Phase of the Liquor Question. The address at the local option mass meeting at the tabernacle tomorrow night is expected by the Citizens' Committee, to be one of the ablest that will be given in the city during the local option campaign. Chairman Nicholson said today that Bishop W. F. Anderson, who Is the speaker. Is one of the livest Methodist Bishops in the whole country. He presided at one of the sessions of the great AntiSaloon Convention at Columbus, Ohio last November, and thrilled the audience with his brief message. While a Bishop, he is a practical man of affairs, who will consider the practical phases of the liquor question, and should be heard by every thinking man and woman in the city. The speaker will come to the tabernacle shortly after 8:00 o'clock, after attending a dinner function at the first M. E. church at 6 o'clock. The Citizens Committee is laying much stress upon the importance of

next Sunday afternoon's meeting at , the tabernacle to be addressed by Rev. Tillman Hobson of California, i Mr. Hobson is a noted evangelist, who ! not only proclaims against sin, but is j fighting booze all the. time. The meet ing will be for men and women and a large audience is expected. The temperance people of the city are greatly interested in the address of Oliver W. Stewart at the North A Street Friends meeting house on Monday night next. Mr. Stewart has been informed of the issues involved in the Richmond campaign and his address is expected to deal with that situation. "WAR THE FLY" IS DECLAREDLY BOARD (Continued from Page One.) ing out in the thoroughfare rather than inside the premises, as this ordinance requires. Many of these receptacles are not such as is specified in the garbage regulation and I noted that the majority of manure bins have not been screened, as they should be. "There has been a noticeable improvement in collecting garbage. Our five collectors tell me that most of the garbage is dry." Rules Explained. Dr. Smelser explained that all complaints against the garbage collectors were being turned over to sanitary inspector, Oscar Mashmeyer, who was taking care of them. He said he had had two conferences with the men and had given them to understand that if the department's rules were not carried out, the offender would lose his position. Mayor Robbins suggested that the ordinance be condensed into a few simple sentences and printed on a card. "Where a garbage can or the ash pile is not kept as it should be, one of these cards could be handed the housekeeper with instructions to act accordingly. I don't believe it would do much good to distribute this Week Dress Week

ordinance because ft la too lone and too difficult to read, bat all Its provisions can be expressed In a few sentences which any child can understand." This suggestion was approved by the board who authorized the mayor to have the cards written and printed. Restaurants Guilty. Mayor Robbins complained that some restaurants and hotels In the city were burying their garbage in their ash pile. "Not only does this violate the ordinance," he said, "but it causes an unhealthy smell In the alley and should be stopped." Dr. Smelser assured him this would

be taken care of at once and said that
