RUSHVILLE WILL BE ATTRACTION FRIDAY Meet Richmond High in Curtain Raiser to the EarlhamFranklin Go. Th Rlohmond thigh school basketball team meets the Rushville high fire In the curtain raiser to the Earlham-Franklin go, next Friday night at the Coliseum. The local high has three remaining games scheduled for this season. Richmond has won one game from the Rushville men this year and expects little trouble in duplicating the feat, as the first game was on Rushville's own floor. Saturday night the locals journey to New Castle to meet the high quintet of Rose City. NewCastle is represented by a good team this year having won a majority of games played. New Castle will play here March 20, closing Richmond's season. ONLY ONE "BROMO QUININE" To get the genuine, call for full name, LAXATIVE BROMO QUININE. Look tor signature of B. W. GROVE. BALL OUT OF GAME Basketball stock at the high school dropped a notch today, when it became known that Wilbur Ball, star center of the school team, would be ont of the game Friday night with Rnehvllle, owing to blood poisoning of his foot. Ball received a slight injury some tfane ago and is unable to attend school. The loss of "Wib" is seriously felt, as he Is one of the mainstays of the team, having height and a good basket eye. Hart likely will be Bhlfted to center, with Johanning or Bavia illlng the guard gap. ENTERS STATE MEET Richmond will be represented at the state basketball meet to be held at Indiana university, March IS and 14. This was the decision reached by the board of control of the local school yesterday afternoon. The local basket ball team will make the trip to Bloomington under the management of Director Nohr. Seven men likely will make the trip to represent the Red and White in the meeting of the fastest teams of the state. Wingate copped the title last year from a field of 162 teams by beating South Bend in the finals. Richmond was not represented at that meeting, and the showing of the team did not warrant the trip. The local boys have made a good record this year, having played some of the heaviest teams in the state, defeating the Anderson five, that has beaten the Wingate quintet, champB of last year. Tuxedo the Most Enjoyable and the Most Healthful Smoke HpHE most enjoyable smoke is a pipe. But many men deny themselves this pleasure because they have had unhappy experiences with pipe tobaccos. Likely you have paid 35 cents to 50 cents for a tin of "fancy mixture," and it burned your mouth or throat, or was unpleasantly strong. Too bad but you got the wrong tobacco. The hundreds of thousands of men who have tried
The Perfect Tobacco
have found the answer to their smoke problems. Tuxedo is the mildest tobacco made. It cannot bite the tongue or dry the throat. And it's economical. There are 40 pipefuls in a ten-cent tin. You can't get any better tobacco because nothing better grows than the mellow, perfectly aged Burley leaf used in Tuxedo. ,
If you try Tuxedo for a month and cut out other smokes, you will not only have had the best month of smoking you have ever had in your life, but you will have made a mighty big saving in your pocketmoney! The Wayne Works quintet, recently organized, will do battle with the A. S.-M. Co. in the preliminary. CHICAGO FEDERALS MAY EXHiBIT HERE Joe Tinker Sets April 11, But Local Management Wants Sunday. A telegram received today from Joe Tinker, manager of the Chicogo Feds, says that the Windy City team would play in this city April 11 if that date is satisfactory to the local manage- ( ment. ; The date, however, is not satisfactory to the Richmond club, as a Suni day booking is desired. The man- ; agement of the locals wrote to the Chicago club some time ago, asking for a April 12, a Sunday date. The I booking offered by Tinker would j throw the game on Saturday, this ; day not being satisfactory to the local management, which desires a Sunday i game in order to give the workers of ! the city a chance to see the Feds in ! action. j Whether or not the proposition for the Sunday booking had been misunderstood is a question in the minds of the Richmond backers, as the Chicago club had previously expressed ! Itself favorably to a Sunday date. The i management of the locals will get the j reply of Tinker either today or toj morrow, telling definitely which date ! Tinker's men will show here. PURDUE VICTORS BLOOMINGTON, Ind., March 4.
