EARLHAM EXPECTS DESPERATE BATTLE Wabash Prepares to Fight Valiantly for Secondary College Honors of State Tonight.
A LARGE TICKET SALE Record Breaking Crowd Expected to See Season's Best Basketball Game on Local Schedule. Both Earlham and Wabash are prepared for a hard basketball game at the Coliseum tonight. Seat sales Indicate the largest crowd that ever witnessed a basketball game In this city. The preliminary will be between the Y. M. C. A. and the A. S. SI. Co. The "Y" crowd expects little trouble in taking the game tonight, but will take no chances on the unexpected happening. Lanning and Duning will be out of tonight's contest resting up for the Dayton game tomorrow night, Parker and Roach filling the gap. Reports from the camps of the Yellow and White and the Scarlet say that both squads are in pink of condition and as the dope slightly favors the Scarlet on comparative scores, the Quakers have the advantage of playing on their home floor, which about evens the chances of both teams. Wabash always has been the stumbling block of the Earlham men, winning a large majority of the games played in the past, the Quakers, however, hope to even things in this game. The regular line-up of tha j Quakers is intact, and with the team going good again since the recent slump, the Richmond crowd is expected to keep the larger end of the score in Richmond. The record of Wabash (his season is the best ever made by a secondary institution and to defeat the Scarlet means work for the fighting Quakers. The teams will line-up as follows: Earlham Wabash Rowe (c) Elgin (c) Forward Wolfe, Logan Dale Forward Kemper . Ellis Center Lancaster Goodbar Guard Williams , .. Leffel, Peter3 Guard ' THE THEATRES ! "The Gamblers." This wetk at the Gennett theatre, f'has. Klein's big success "The Gamblers" is proving one of the best plays f the season and the theatre has been well filled at each performance. Following the performance tonight (ho big amateur contest will take place. There will be four or five new nctes acts which will include a skating act, one singing and dancing act and "a buck dancer, also two others ! 1 1 m t will be new. "David Harum." Xext week at the Gennett theatre the Francis Sayles players will offer for the first time here at popular prices the best of all rural plays "David Harum," with Mr. Sayles in the part of David Harum. While the other members of the company will be seen to advantage and the production will be complete in every detail. Another big country store will be Riven Monday night, when some more handsome and useful presents will be given away. Nature Sttill "Casts Out Devils" Through the 5,000,000 Pores of Your Body and Through the Bowels, Liver and K idneys. If you don't think they're KKAL Devils, just lot them accumulate, as in constipation and biliousness. A whole brood of demons appear, such as indigestion, flatulency, heartburn, palpitation, dizziness, jaundice, congestion of the Liver. Later these grow into Bright's Disease, Typhoid, Malaria, etc. Winter's a fine time for these Devils to get in their work, because the pores are not open, and what, you sweated out in summer must be strained off by the Liver in winter and the Liver dams or clogs with Bile. PODOLAX ItKLEASES THE HI I.E. There's one thing these devils can't stand, and that is T?i!e. Bile is Nature's great cleanser and disinfectant. When it's dammed up, all the above troubles appear. Release it and they disappear like mist before the rising sun. That's why salts, mineral waters, oil and common laxatives fail. They don't release tho Bile, but merely flush the intestines. Podophyllin (common Mandrake or May-Apple Root) in Nature's own gift to mankind. Since the days of the patriarchs it has proven the one harmless and certain cure for constipation, because it releases the dammed up Bile. tSee Encyclopaedia lirittanniea.) PoDoLax is a Podophyllin formula made pleasant in taste and action, and Is for the whole family, children especially. You can reason. You know that a free flow of Bile Insures a healthy body. You know that no food would be fit for blood food without the Bile to purify It. We insist that PoDoLax will start the Bile that it is done gently without griping, without sickening, and we guarantee it. (Advertisement) Dr. Geo. R. House Peters takes up the part of the paralyzed detective, which Henry E. Dixey portrayed in "Chelsea 7750" and Laura Sawyer continues in the role of the girl detective. "An Hour Before Dawn" is a startling modern female detective story, introducing the greatest scientific marvel of the age, the recent discovery by Signor Ulivii, an Italian engineer, of a terrific explosive power which has startled the scientific world, and which Miss Kirby proves caused the death of the scientist for whose murder his son and a chorus girl with whom he is in love are suspected. Before this fact is established, however, the story proceeds along a path of mystery and suspense, in which all the modern arts of detection and some strikingly original methods of criminal ? ? ?
