NEW PARIS, Feb. 16. The new club room of the P. & A. M. lodge was opened Friday evening by a basket supper given by the ladies of the Eastern Star and the affair was most enjoyable. The room was prettily decorated with hundreds of red hearts. The ladies" baskets were purchased by the gentlemen by members and a nice sum for the lodge resulted. Millinery "stunts" and appropriate valentine games were indulged in until a late hour. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kennedy of Richmond were among the guests and the former delighted the guests

with his splendid readings. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reid of Campbellstown attended the basket supper Friday evening. A surprise on Miss Osa Kordel. teacher of No. 9 school was successfully executed Friday evening at the school building just after school hours A most enjoyable time was spent. The members of the local high school and others braved the inclement weather and walked to the school which is known as Cedar Springs school. Move To Richmond.

Mr. and Mrs. John Newman removed Thursday to the home of their son, Harry Newman, north of Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Spence removed to the Newman farm. Mrs. Dora Wrenn, who is in Reid Hospital, Richmond, is doing very nicely and will soon be removed home. William Glenn, who is afflicted with a heavy cold, became so ill Thursday night that the services of two physicians was required, lie is much improved. Mrs. Ella Thornburg of Gas City, Ind., is the guest of her neice, Mrs. Geo. S. Kessler. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Reid of Chicago are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knollenberg and other local relatives. Miss Bessie Fitz water is visiting relatives at Union City. Mrs. Jane Gauby and daughter of New Madison were entertained recently by Mrs. Eliza Timmons and family. Miss Alma Kempel and Oscar Baker were united in marriage Tuesday at the M. E. parsonage by Rev. Elisha Kneisley. They are on a honeymoon trip to Indiana points after which they will be at home north of town at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vm. G. Baker. Attorney Wm. Marsh of Camden was here Wednesday on business. Wm. F. Wrenn spent Wednesday in Dayton. Ed. R. Clark was in Columbus Wednesday, the guest of his son Paul, who attends O. S. U. Mesdames John Johanning and Chas. Partlow of Richmond were Wednesday guests of Mrs. Mary A. Mc Gill and daughter. Mrs. Thomas Dolloff of Richmond is here assisting in the care of her mother, Mrs. Ella Cox, who is swiouely ill. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Overpeck returned Thursday to their home in Dayton after a visit with local relatives.

names would not be divulged by Chairman Nicholson, was appointed at the yesterday's meeting. This important committee will have full control of the conducting of the campaign. Preparations are being made to accept organizations other than . religious ones, into the active campaign. Next Tuesday night Wayne B.
