ECONOMY, Feb. 11. The Juniors and Seniors of the Economy high Bchool gave an interesting and spirited debate on Woman's Suffrage, Monday afternoon in the laboratory of the high school building. There were seven on the affirmative side and five on the negative side. There was some very brilliant thoughts set forth by each orator that gave the judges some puzzling points to decide. The score was 61 to 44 in favor of the negatives. The M. E. Aid society will give a musical social in the M. E. church Saturday evening, February 21. There is to be an interesting missionary meeting Sunday morning in the M. E. church. Some able speaker will be present to give the talk and special music will be arranged for the occasion. . The Rev. Mr. Propst of the Centerville Friends church is conducting revival services at West River in the Friends church. Rev. Propst is one of the ablest ministers in Wayne county and those who do not go to hear him will miss something in the religious line they should not. Trustee Progressive nominee is Charley Atkinson who is a business man and is well known all over the county. Link Morrison and Thomas Cain who were aspirants for the bame office take their defeat good naturedly. Johnny Bowman was nominated for assessor over Fielder Olney.

Mr. and Mrs. John Frank entertaincl their daughter from New Paris Saturday. C. A. Ford, Leon Leas and Clint Parks were in Richmond Saturday. The Hussars, a musical number will be presented here Friday evening, February 13 under the auspices of the lecture course. This is an especially good number and they will give a full evening's entertainment of song, story and action in costume. George Hayes of Baughman was the guest of his parents over Sunday. Albert Schaeffer and son, Daniel of Dayton spent Sunday and Monday near here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Hixon are entertaining hei mother and sister of Paulaing, Ohio. Chas. Kowlle of Arcanum met his wife here Sunday, who has been visiting in Dayton the past week. The annual school meeting of the Monroe township schools will be held at Eldorado Saturday, February 21. A good program has been arranged and a good attendance is exDected. Mr. Wm.
