Miss Jeannette Zeppenfeld, Professor of Modern Languages In Franklin college, and Miss Wilson Field Woman for Oxford college, have been among the visitors In the local high school the past week. The former visited the German classes, the latter spoke especially to the ladies of the senior class upon the value of high school education. Mrs. J. F. Reese was in Richmond Wednesday evening as a delegate from the Women Teachers' club to a meeting of the Auxiliary of the Guest House, held in the Commercial club rooms. The meeting was for the purpose of discussing plans for raising the required amount of fundss for the erection of such a home for wage earning women. R. R. Watkins will move within a few days to the Morrey property on North Front street, now occupied by Mrs. Emma Miller and daughter, Miss Goldie, who will move to the property on Dale avenue owned by Mrs. Ada Harned. Miss Christian Moffat, of Connersville, is spending a few days in Cambridge City the guest of Miss Irene Smith. DePauw CoCncert. The DePauw University glee club wi.s greeted by a large audience at the concert given Wednesday evening at the Hurst opera house. Mrs. Charles Wiker, of Richmond, Is spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. Emma Miller, and sister, Miss Goldie Miller. Mrs. Philip Lafever and Miss Susie Freeman observed their birthdays. Which occur on the same day, by a dinner Thursday evening, at th home of the former, having as guests Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ingerman and sons and Mrs. Howard Beeson. Miss Alice McCaffrey will spend Saturday in Richmond the guest of Miss Ruth Klnsey. To Entertain. Mr. and Mrs. F. M.,Gbel will entertain at dinner Sunday evening, having as their guests Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Newman, of Miltnn, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. CCallaway and Mrs. Howard Beesn. The gross receipts of the concert given Wednesday evening by the DePauw glee club under the auspices of the Methodist Sunday school and choir, amounted to one hundred and sixteen dollars. Miss Irene Smith will spend Sunday at her home in Connersville. Mrs. Simraes, residing in the south part of town, is in a very serious condition suffering from cancer. Father Medsker, of Connersville, was the guest Thursday of Father Gorman, at the St. Elizabeth's parsonage.
