Almost twice as many votes were cast this past week as the first two weeks of the contest, although the number of contestants casting vote this week were only 81 to 115 of the first two weeks. Carl Pfeiffer, who last week had first place, is now in second place with 58,290 votes, and James Henderson has dropped from second to third place. Catherine Althaus has made a big gam, now holding fourth place. Contestants should not get discouraged, as there are still nine weeks before the contest closes. Anyone who had been thinking of entering still has a good chance of winning and should enter at once. Great care should be taken in signing your name to the votes. There are quite a number of contestants that are stamping their names on the Votes with a rubber stamp, which is a time saver and makes it easier for the judges in sorting the votes.

Method Used in Counting Voles The utmost care is taken in counting these votes. They will be collected each Saturday afternoon and counted the same day by Albert Feeger of the First National Bank and members of the Richmond Palladium. After each store's votes are counted separately a chart is made showing number of votes cast for each contestant and at which store. These votes then with chart are deposited in the First National Bank vault until the end of the contest when the prize is given the wiryiing contestant.
