MILTON, Jan. 23. A large crowd attended the sale of personal property of the late Horace Caldwell, at Harrisburg. The sale brought about 110,000. ( Mr. and Mrs. Clark Faucett and Homer and the Misses Ida and Laura Bertsch were among the guests at a surprise party with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bertsch, north of Cambridge City. The party was given in honor of Mr. Stewart Smith and sister, who have gone to CCanada. Ell Beeson, of south of Milton, spent Thursday with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ellwood Beeson. The Embroidery club was entertained with Mrs. J. A. Brown Wednesday afternoon. A nice company was present to enjoy the afternoon and the nice refreshments served by the hostess. There were no guests. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Ott Crownover. There will be a dancing party at the Farmers bank hall this evening. Raymond Bryant is again able to be at his post of duty as clerk at F. M. Jones' department store. June Templin, who has been quite sick, is reported better. Miss Blanche Moore entertained at six o'clock dinner, Wednesday, Miss Daisy Templin, of Middletown, Ohio. The Ladies Aid of he Christian church met at Mrs. F. M. Jones, Wednesday afternoon and quilted. The Rev. F. C. McCormick was at Cambridge City Thursday to conduct the funeral services of the late Morrison Kirk wood. Ms. L. M. eGntle, of Richmond, was the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. A. Brown, Wednesday, and attended the meeting o fthe Embroidery club, of which she is a member. Elwood Beeson is reported not so well. He was siezed with a fainting spell Wednesday while seated quietly in his chair. eGorge Baker placed his premiums recently received at the poultry show at Richmond, on exhibition at the Farmers bank window. Dr. C. A. Roark was at Richmond Thursday. The Fort Wayne division of the Lake Erie & Western railroad through Milton, has abandoned its regular Sunday train, and hereafter there will beno train over that road on SundayMr. and Mrs. Oran Bragg who were at Union City, have returned home. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Lew P03ther, at Anderson, before coming home. Mrs. Lute Lantz, Jr., reports her mother, Mrs. M. E. Mrs. Edward Beeson was a Richmend Tbusrday. Mrs. Will Stall, of Richmond, spent Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Coons. Miss Floy Leak, of Richmond, gave her lesson in Domestic Science at the Milton schools Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Oscar Kirlin entertained as her guest at dinner Thursday, Mrs. Carl Caldwell, of west of town. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilson and Miss Bessie George were at Richmond Thursday to attend the Honeywell meetings. The ladies of the M.
