Children Return From School; Teachers Go Home.
CAMBRIDGE CITY Ind., Dec. 22. Prof. E. E. Oldaker went to Indianapolis today to attend the meeting of the State Teachers' association. He will Join -Mrs. Oldaker and son at the home of her father, J. W. Williams, In Henryvllle, Christmas day, and spend the remainder of the week. Mrs. Nora Wright of Indianapolis, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Ulrich and daughter. All the teachers of the Cambridge City schools have enrolled as members of the State Teachers' association. Miss Hazel Steiffel is home from Winchester to spend the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Hunt will spend Christmas with relatives at Greensfork. Arrives From Illinois. Mrs. Emma Roberts will arrive tomorrow from Olney, 111., to spend the holidays with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Shipman. Enoch Highley, who has been sick at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Howard Elliott, in New Castle, has returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Reese and Karl Reese of Washington, D. C, arrived today to spend the holidays with Prof.-and Mrs. J. T. Reese and other relatives. Dr. and Mrs. Albert Huddleston of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Prank Oler of Richmond, Eric Huddleston of Dayton and Aquilla Binford -of Thorntown, attended the funeral of Silas Huddleston at Dublin Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whiteley will go to Chicago Sunday to reside. Mr. Whiteley has a position in the inspection department of the Sears-Roebuck company... The rooms were decorated with Christmas greens, miniature trees appearing In several rooms, while one showed the Japanese effects united with the Christmas decorations. The contract for furnishing the yearly supply of groceries to the county infirmary was awarded to C. C. Shaffer for $659.37. Mr. Shaffer also received the contract for furnishing certain supplies to the jail and court house for $26.38 and $81.45.
