MS SUPPER SERVED Young Married Ladies' Club Holds Elaborate Meeting.
CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., Dec, 20. Mrs. Charles Wheeler was hostess Thursday afternoon for a meeting of the Young Married Ladies' Card club. The house was decorated in Christmas colors. Five hundred was played at four tables. A two course luncheon was served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. George Babcock. In the evening the husbands made their appearance, and to the surprise of the
women informed them that they were the caterers, and in a short time a Christmas feast was served. The afternoon guests were Mesdames Omar Manlove, J. R. Littell, F. M. Gobel, Howard Beeson and John Shroyer. Mrs. Anthony Hower of Hagerstown spent the day with Mrs. May Boden. Mr. and Mrs. Jot Caldwell attended the funeral of the former's cousin, Benjamin Caldwell at Lewisville today. The Friday Night club meet at the home of Miss Haeel Dennis. Two papers were read. B. F, Wiasler discussed the subject "Bismarck" from the standpoint of statesman, the diplomat and the military man, and W. H. Doney "Germany as a World Power," in relation to the commercial, military and educational powers. A general discussion followed both pa
pers. The next meeting will be held January 8, at the home of Prof, and Mrs. J. T. Reese. Construction work on the P., C, C. & St. L. has been temporarily closed at this point. Miss Elizabeth Whelan attended the funeral of her cousin. James A. Jones, in New Castle Friday.
