POSTMASTER

KR1NGLE LIVES

KRIS

Haas Receives Many Letters Daily Addressed to Old Saint Nick.

FAIR WARNING. Two great big boogies grabbed a man and flew away out of sight. They took him to the North Pole, where there's nothing else but night; They put him In a big black cave, and tied his hands and feet, And he won't have no Christmas, nor a single thing to eat. And he won't never have no fun, nor never come back, cause He said to little boys and girls: "There ain't no Santa Claus." Luke McLuke, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, takes his oath that this is an accurate account of the terrible fate of the dyspeptic who refused to recognize the existence of childhood's patron eaint. Postmaster Haas, If Luke McLuke's word is not to be taken as authentic, can positively swear that there Is a Santa Claus, because every day for the past month he has been receiving letters addressed to and delivering them to old Saint Nick, the wellknown dispenser of Christmas joys, will arrive in Richmond about 3:21 o'clock Christmas morning, and fill all stockings hung up by his little friends. Santa Claus today authorized the Palladium to announce a few of the many letters he has received from Richmond boys and girls. Wants Cowboy Suit. "I am a little boy 7 years old," writes Ward W. Swain, 416 North Thirteenth street, "and I want a suit of clothes, a rain coat, a cowboy suit and a tool chest.'" "Will you please bring me a train that will run on a track?" Norval Murphy, 316 North Eighteenth street, requests Saint Nick. "Also a velocopede. I am a little boy 5 years old and I have a little sister. She would like a doll that won't break, please Dear Santa." "Will you send me some candy, nuts, fruits and some toys to me?" asks Lawrence Lady, 1529 North E street. "Don't let me hear you come down the chimney, because I'll wake up and hear you. Just anything." Florence Eva Davis, 224 Pearl street, promises St. Nick that she will be a good girl all next year if he will bring her a "nice big doll that has nice black hair and that will open and phut her eyes, also a pocketbook and a book." A Hunter's Boy. Cnarles Pitcher, 802 South Sixth itreet, will have his cup of joy overflowing Christmas morning If he finds Santa has left him a gun and a horn. Josephine Snyder, 83 state street, has requested Santa to put In an early appearance at her home, for she keenly desires to becom acquainted with him this Christmas. Hitherto when he has called she has been with the Sandman-In Dreamland. Little Miss Snyder requests Saint Nick to bring with him a cook stove with kettles and pans, and a brown-haired doll. Roberta Hartley, of Fountain City,

R. R. 27, writes: "Please send me a washing machine, tubs, rocking chair, doll that goes to sleep, ironing board, clothes rack and wringer. I will be a good girl and help my grandma. 1 am 4 years old." kittle William White, 17 South Fifth street writes that he wants his sister to have a "pettcoat," while he will be satisfied with a new suit, shoes and stockings, nuts, candy and apples. Pauline and Agnes Elliott, 207 Pearl street, write that they want sig'net rings, gold bracelets and gocarts for their dolls.

6 MASKED ROBBERS HELD UP A TRAIN

NYACK, N. Y., Dec. 19. Six masked robbers today held up a west bound Erie freight near here, and while three covered the crew with revolvers the others unloaded silks valued at $2,500 and carried them away in waiting automobiles.

By Dr. Miles, the Great Specialist, Who Will Send a New $3.75 Treatment Free.

Many Have Been Cured After Doctors Failed.

At first no disease is apparently more harmless than dropsy; a little swelling of the eyelids, hands, feet, ankles or abdomen. Finally there Is great shortness of breath, cough, faint spells, sometimes nausea and vomiting even bursting of the limbs and a lingering and wretched death if the dropsy is not removed. Dr. Miles has been known as a leading specialist in these diseases for 30 years. II is liberal offer of a $3.75 Treatment free to all sufferers, is certainly worthy of serious consideration. You may never have such an opportunity again. The Grand Dropsy Treatment consists of four dropsy remedies in one, also Tonic Tablets and Pura-Laxa for removing the water. This treatment is specially prepared for each patient and is ten times as successful as that of most physicians. It usually relieves the first day, and removes swelling in six days in most cases. Delay is dangerous. Send for Remarkable Cures in Your State. All afflicted readers may have Book. Examination Chart, Opinion, Advice, and a Two-Pound Treatment free. Write at once. LESS MEAT IF BACK AND KIDNEYS HURT

Take a Glass of Salts to Flush Kidneys if Bladder Bothers You. Drink Lots of Water.

Eating meat regularly eventually pro-

duces kidney trouble In some form or other, says a well known authority, because the uric acid in meat excites the kidneys, they become overworked; get sluggish; clog up and cause all sorts of distress, particularly backache and misery in the kidney region; rheumatic twinges, severe headaches, acid stomach, constipation, torpid liver, sleeplessness, bladder and urinary irritation. The moment your back hurts or kidneys aren't acting right, or if bladder bothers yon, get about four ounces of Jad Solt8 from any good pharmacy; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys will then act fine. This famous salts is'mad from the acid of grapes and lemon Juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for generations to flush clogged kidneys and stimulate them to normal activity; also to neutralise the acids In the urine so it no longer irritates, thus ending bladder disorders. Jad Salts cannot injure anyone; makes a delightful effervescent lithiawater drink which millions of men and women take now and then to keep the kidneys and urinary organs clean, thus avoiding serious kidney disease.
