MILTON, Ind., Dec. 17. So many attended the revival services conducted by Evangelist Miller at the Methodist church Sunday night, that many were turned away for lace of tpace. Standing room was entirely taken, and even the entrances were crowded with eager listeners to the words of the minister, when he denounced card playing, dancing and other popular amusements in a plain and forceful manner. "Hog cholera in Wayne county this year is prevalent in a greater degree than ever before," said Dr. Lee Hoover, a veterinary surgeon. "During the last three weeks I have vaccinated four herds and have a number of calls ahead," continued the doctor. "Not a single deatn has occurred i in the herds 1 have vaccinated, al though many herds have been obliterated by the ravages of the disease," said Mr. Hoover. He said soft, corn was not the cause of the disease. Dr. Hoover visited a herd of porkers on a farm near Williamsburg. The dairy herd of Ralph Cooper, near Elliott's .Mill, was given the government tuberculin test by Dr. Hoover. The entire herd of thirtyfive cows was found to be in excellent health. Four new cows had been add ed to the herd recently. The test j will be applied to a second herd in a few weeks. OBITUARY Cyrus O. Albertson was horn in Richmond. Wayne County. Ind.. March 27. 1S33, and departed this life November 7. I;tl3, aged 80 years, 7 months and 11 days. Mr. Albertson is one of twelve children born to Joshua and Abagail Albertson of which two sisters of Henry county and one brother of Kansas survive. Mr. Albertson was united in solemn matrimony in 1855 to Martha A. Brooks, to w Inch were born four I daughters, three of which are still liv- i insr. REVIVE OLD SPORT Members of Gun Club pare Turkey Shoot. PreEleven turkeys will constitute the prizes of a turkey shoot to be given by the Richmond Rod and Gun club, December 23, with George Fortney of New Paris in charge. The program consists of ten events of fen shots each, and will be open to amateurs only. This provision was made in order to attract many who would not enter against some of the crack shots who have been in other shoots held by the club.
