Assurance of a visiting nurse for Richmond has now been given and the Domestic Scienca board- of directors voted to give the position to Miss Florence Uenner of Cincinnati, now of the staff of the Municipal Antl-tuber-cuIobIb sanitarium and formerly a visiting nurse with three years experience. , Thedecislon was made after the adoption of the report of the investigation made ty Mrs. Paul Ross, Mrs. Florence Roach and Mrg. Emma Lamson. It is probable Miss flenner will commence her work here January 1. She comes highly recommended. To Ratify Action. The decision of the board of directors will be ratified by the Domestic Science association tomorrow when the regular meeting will be held in the Garfield building. After a business meeting a cooking demonstration will be given by Miss Electa Henley, domestic science teacher. The recommendations submitted by Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Roach and Mrs. LamFon will be carried out as they were submitted. In making out a contract with the nurse, the suggestions which the women have received from physicians of Cincinnati, Dayton and other cities, regarding the work, material and supplies will be used. The nurse ia to receive a salary of 75. It is advised that persons requiring the services of the nurse Bhould pay a fee of five or ten cents In ordr that the term of "charity nurse" could not cause some proud persons from applying for her services. PICTURE OF PARRY

ON T, P. A. LEAFLET Local Order Desires to Bring Out Idea of "Quaker City." Featuring the information leaflets which will be given visitors and delegates to the T. P. A. convention here in June, will be the picture of William Parry, Quaker, which was printed in the Palladium two months ago. Parry was the head of the G. R. and I. railroad for years and is said to have walked the entire length of the roadway many times in making inspections. The T. P. A.'s desired to bring out the idea of the "Quaker City" by displaying the picture of a Quaker. Accordingly a stock picture of a Quaker was brought here but was discarded for that of Parry, whose picture is said to represent a typical Quaker. Billiard Players Start Tournament Miller Beats Anderson and Sherer Defeats Shaw. Billiard players started a tournament last night at Engle's cigar store. Two games were played. Miller, playing at "scratch, defeated Anderson, a ninety-point man, 100 to 62. Shaw, who played Sherer, was unable to make his necessary showing. He had a handicap of 30 over his opponent, but only succeeded in scoring 78, when Miller made his century. Miller made the high run of the evening, counting eight successive times. Mrs. A. D. Cobb, wife of the county agricultural agent, will have charge of the organization of the Domestic Science society. Music will be furnished by a Victrola. The present officers of the association are: Fred Davis, president; Omer Young, vice president; Charles Miles, secretary; Fred Bullerdick, treasurer. Basketball Squad Prepares For Season. Active work in developing the Earl-' ham college varsity basketball squad j began last evening when the men ; chosen by Coach Reagan numbers fourteen men. DITCH REMONSTRANCE Preparations are being made to file a remonstrance against the granting of the Nettle creek ditch. The remonstrance blanks will be circulated in the northern part of the county and the southern part of Randolph county within a few days. The time limit for the filing of a remonstrance will expire In six days. The ditch will mean a sewerage system for the town of Losantsville, and is much desired by the reasidents of the town for this reason. I
