The patrolmen will be instructed to stretch ropes and maintain Are lines. "The work of the Hre companies! is hindered by the crowdB that invariably gather around burning buildings," aid Chief Miller. "Mosc persons lose all respect for property rights, seeming to think that because a store or boose is on fire it gives them the right to go through it." Besides being In the way of the firemen, the crowds have access to valuables lying around. Small articles are often missed from homes after fires, Miller continued. With only a horse-drawn patrol the members of the police department are not prepared to answer calls with any degree of speed. But as soon as modern equipment is purchased. Chief Miller will ask the oo-operation of the police department at all fires.

REPRESENTATIVE INDIANAPOLIS SALES

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 12. Hogs Another big run of hogs arrived today but there was another big demand

i from all sources and salesmen suc

ceeded in realizing prices fully equal to the best prices yesterday. There was very little change in affairs, except possibly the lighter weights seemed to gain a little strength. Cattle The receipts of cattle and calves were fully as large as seemed necessary and salesmen were forced

j to make more or less concessions in

prices on a number of leading lines to affect sales. The decline was estimated at from 10 to 25 cents. Sheep -There were about 700 sheep and lambs that met with a continued good demand and salesmen had com-

DECIDE YOURSELF The Opportunity is Here. Backed by Richmond Testimony. Iou't take our word for it. Don't depend on a stranger's statement. Read Richmond endorsement. Read the statements of Richmond citizens. And decide for yourself. Here is one case of it. L. F. Cooper, carpenter. 102 South Seventh street, Richmond, Ind.. says: "For two years I had soreness and pain ax-ross my back and sides. It was hard for me to stoop and when I caught cold, it always settled in my kidneys. Nothing brought me relief until I commenced taking Doan's Kidney Pills. Two boxes of this remedy rid me of the aches and pains." For sale by all dealers. Price 50 cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo, New York, sole agents for the United States. Remember the name Doan's and take no other. (Advertisement)

Kept Her Locks Dark, Thick Glossy, With Sage Tea and Sulphur. ; When you darken your hair with

i Sage Tea and Sulphur, no one can j tell, because it's done so naturally, so evenly. Preparing this mixture, ; though, at home is inussy and trouble- ; some. For 50 cents you can buy at 'any drug store the ready to-ust- tonic : called "YVyeth's Sage and Sulphur ; Hair Remedy." You just dampen a j sponge or soft brush with it and

draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at ;: time. Ry morn- , ing all gray hair disappears, and. after another application or two. your hair becomes beautifully darkened, glossy and luxuriant. You will also discover dandruff is gone and hair has stopped falling. Cray, faded hair, though no dis- : grace, is a sign of old age. and as we all desire a youthful and attractive appearance, get busy at once with AYyeth's Sate and Sulphur and look years younger. 1 I

CHICAGO LIVESTOCK CHICAGO, Dec. 12. Hogs: Receipts 32,000, market steady, top price $7.90, bulk of sales $7.60( 7.80. Cattle: Receipts 2.000, market steady, beeves $5.257.40. calves $9.2511.25. Sheep receipts 12,000, natives and westerns 35.40, lambs $5.95(58.

Our hardy ancestors didn't know or want mollycoddle remedies for bilious conditions. They didn't want to be always taking something-. They took this vegetable calomel as soon as they noticed the coated tongue the dizziness the achy feeling the blood waves the full feeling and released the Bile from the Liver. They said "to make the Liver act," but we have learned that the Liver 13 but a strainer, and that Bilo clogs in the Liver, leaving the body a prey to the putrid matter that should be disinfected by the Bile. PODOLAX RELEASES THE BILE, Tour ancestors knew that it was necessary to start this Bile, and didn't temporize. They took MayApple Root in some form, and while it griped and sickened, they took It because It Did Deliver the Bile. Tn PoDoLax you have the same thingr. but without the gripe and nausea, it acts bo quietly that you are never alsturbed in your daily vocations. You or your children should take a spoonful at bedtime as soon as you notice the bad taste the bad breath the coated tongue. Do so and you are free of It the next day. To have It In the house means to take it early and be relieved quickly so by all means Ret a bottle at the first drug Btore and take a stitch in time. If we could only prove to you that FoDoLax is not a purging cathartic not a mollycoddle laxative but a gentle loosening of the Bile from the Liver, you would require no urging, but would provide a family bottle for regular use. A trial is the only proof.
