Ey HERBERT E1LER. Fifteen members of the Earlbam football squad will leave tomorrow morning for Franklin, Ind., where they will meet the Franklin College eleven in the next to the last game of the season. For five successive games the Yellow and White squad had wailed
to bring home a victory ana with the t
memory of five defeats neavily in mind the Quakers will make their last stand tomorrow before the De Pauw game. As lor the football dope Earlham has one of th best chances of the latter season games to win. Wabash cleaned the Franklin squad with a 26 to 0 score. On the other hand Earlham rolled 6 points against the Little Giants but never crossed the Wabash goal line. Should kicking feature the game Capt. Bogue will be able to stand against any booter of the Franklin squad. Williams Sprained Ankle. Williams, the star fullback, of the Yellow and White will not be in tomorrow's contest owing to a severely sprained ankle. Trueblood will take his place at. the center of the backfield with Jay as a possible substitute. ery little change will be made In the line-up of the Quakers squad as none of the players were forced out of the Wabash game, except Williams, with Injuries. The squad that will malce the trip will be Capt. Bogue, Stanley, Thistlethwaite, Kinneman, Fowler, Lewis, Lamb, Semler. Calvert, Lancaster, Trueblood, Wright, Bowen, Thornton and Hobbs. Regulars Charge Scrubs. The varsity and scrubs clashed for more than an hour last evening on Reid field but the regulars tore large
gaps in the
the practice. Capt. Bogue made several successful field goals from the
thirty-five yard line and Coach Reagan is relying on the toe of the veteran to break up a tie should the Franklin and Earlham elevens right even. A light drill practice will be given the men tonight. A few plays have been given the squad by Coach Reagan and will be used against the downstaters. The majority of the new plays devised by the Earlham coach ar being held in secret for DePauw in the game at Greencastle next Saturday.
In the first two games of the Intermediate basketball league oS the Y. M. C. A. the Buns were smeared by the Cream Puffs, 12 to 2 and the Pancakes were flattened by the Doughnuts, 19 to 12. Professor K. C. Sloane had charge of the chapel exercises at the high school this morning. The school or
chestra, Miss Elizabeth Myrick pianist, and Miss Ruth Ferguson, vocalist, furnished the program, which proved to be one of the best of the term. Both soloists are excellent musicians. The orchestra also played its numbers well. Following is the program presented: March, "Observatory," Harry Lincoln Orchestra "Loin du Bal-' E. Mrs. W. W. Lake, of Aberdeen. Miss , says: "The grippe had left me in a weak, run-down condition from which I suffered for some time. I tried dif
ferent remedies but nothing seemed to do me any good until 1 took Vinol, from which I received great benefit. My cough is almost entirely gone ami I am strong and well again, and I am glad to recommend Vinol to others who suffer as I did." Mrs. Lake's recovery was due to the combined action of the medicinal lemeiits extracted from cods' livers combined with the blood making and strength creating properties of tonic iron, which are contained in Vinol. and her cough disappeared as a natural result. Finally we took her 1o the doctor and he treated her several weeks, but. it kept spreading until we had to keep her little hands tied and dress and bandage them several times a day they were so sore, and we used everything we could hear of for eczema.
