Roller skating, Coliseum, Thursday night. 28 3t DISCUSS REFORMATION AT LUTHERAN MEETING Benefits of the Reformation of the Sixteenth Century was the subject of a paper read before the Monthly meeting of the St. Paul's Lutheran Brotherhood last night by William Meerhoff. After a chief historical sketch of the Reformation, Mr. Meerhoff pointed to many conditions in modern. life., which were an outgrowth of it. It resulted In throwing off the old world bondage, arid the birth of republican forms of government. The root of the public school system can be traced back to the upheaval in the Sixteenth century. Luther, he said, started the movement which gave to the people the open Bible, and the freedom of the United States. ,A round table discussion followed the reading of the paper. Mr. George H. Knollenberg gave a detailed report of the recent Synodical Convention held at Louisville, Ky.
