SOCIAL UNION CLUB HASANNiVERSARY First Year of Existence Observed By Program From Riley. WILLIAMSBURG, Ind., Oct. 24. The first anniversary of the Social Union club was celebrated Wednes-i day afternoon at. the Methodist par-1 Fonage. Several out of town guests -were present. In a guessing contest the prize was given to Miss Neff, of Greensfork. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be held November 5 with Mrs. William Brown. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Bell entertained at supper Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Link Watkina and Mr. and Mrs. Rosa McConkey. Mrs. Frank Murray of Richmond, was the guest of Mrs. Ethel Watkins ThursdayMr. and Mrs. Robert Yelvlngton and friends from Alexandria were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Woolley Wednesday night. The ladies of the Christian church will hold their annual market and bazaar, at the Odd Fellows' hall, on Saturday. The market will open at 0:30 a. m., and the bazaar at 1 p. m. There will be an entertainment in the afternoon and evening. Mrs. Hattie Hiatt will entertain the Home club this evening. Miss Emma Izor, of Indianapolis, was the guest of her cousin, Hattie Izor, Thursday. She has been spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Will Higgham, south of town, and is onroute from a visit with friends at Connersville, to Indianapolis. Henry Shepherd left Thursday evening for Indianapolis where he will be in charge of the Dix tower, of the Big Four. A number have received invitations for the dancing party to be given by the entertainment committee of the K. of P. lodge, at Cambridge iCty, on Hallowe'en. Milton Gaar, of Kast Germantown, has been trimming trees for Mrs. Alice Gresh. Mrs. C. A. Roark has returned from an extended visit with relatives at Cincinnati. ; Entertain Guests. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sarver have been entertaining as their house guest, Mr. Sarver' s sister, Mrs. W. W. Gibson, of Webster, at their home Shady Slope farm, south of Milton. The M. E. Quarterly services will he held at Milton church Saturday and Sunday. The quarterly conference will meet on Saturday. On Sunday morning the Rev. F. M. Westhafer will preach and administer the Lord's Supper. In the evening, the Rev. Dr. Tevis. district superintendent, will preach. The ladies of the Embroidery club report a very pleasant meeting with Mrs. L. M. Gentle, of Richmond, on Wednesday afternoon, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather. In the evening Messrs. J. A. Brown. Edw. Wilson. Oliver Wallace. Frank DuGranrut, Chas. Davis, joined their wives and in company with Mrs. L. H. AVarren, Dr. and Mrs. Gentle and family, formed a theatre party to see -The House of a Thousand Candles." A guest of the club with Mrs. Gentle was Mrs. Will Ewan of Richmond. Mrs. Ott Crownover was the guest of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Williams, Thursday. Marcus Moore is thought to be slightly improved. Miss Cassie Turner is in charge of the case as nurse. John Walker of near New Lisbon, was in town greeting his friends here nnd working up the interest of a stock sale. James Stamm's household goods were moved from Milton to Hagerstown. Thursday. Miss Lena Becher had as her recent guests her nephew and niece. Warren and Miss Mabel Wainwright, of Connersville. , Mr. and Mrs. J. T. The Mexican girls are attending Earlham and will sing in Spanish. The Rev. Mr. Holding is a returned missionary and the services will be of a mission character.
