Mrs. Chauncey Riffle was hostess Thursday afternoon for a meeting of the Alice Carey cl'.tb at her home on South Twelfth street. The rain did not keep the members from enjoying the afternoon's program. Miss Alice Price gave an account of the "Fifteenth Century, Philip the Good." This part of the program was very interesting. Mrs. Emma Eva told of the tt achings of Erasmus. Responses were from the work of Jacob Cats. After the program a social hour followed and refreshments were ,'erved. The club will hold its next meeting with Miss Sarah Lewis at her home on South Thirteenth street. The meeting will be held November fith.

Holly, of North F street, was solemnized Thursday hi the newly appointed home of the bride and bridegroom at 1722 Mills avenue. Cincinnati. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Krueger in the presence of a few friends. The bride wore a pretty traveling suit of blue cloth with hat to correspond. She is a charming young woman and has a host of friends here who extend congratulations and wish her much happiness.
