SUNDAY SCHOOL MEET Former Presbyterian Pastor Accepts St. Louis Call. NEW PARIS, O., Oct. 24. The local dairyman has nerved notice on his patrons that on and after November 1st, the price of milk will be advanced to seven cent a quart and lour cents a pint, owing to the hitfh price of cows and feed. Huddle, former pastor of the local Presbyterian church, for the past two years located at Fargo, S. D., has accepted a call to tie Grace Presbyterian church of St. Louis, Mo., one of the largest congregations of that city. Over 1!50 members were added to the church at Fargo during his ministry there and his friends here are glad to hear of his advancement to St. Louis. Tuesday evening the second meeting of the Tuesday club was held at the home of Mrs. C. M. Mitchell. The members answered roll call with the Initial of their birthplace and every one of the twenty-one who were present, with the exception of four, were born in the country. Two visitors were in attendance, Miss Cora Hawley of Loveland, Ohio and Miss Sarah Richie. Two interesting papers were .read, "A Brief History and Comparison of the Colonization of North and South America," by Mrs. Minnie Davis and "Simon Bolivar" by Mrs. Vivian Relnheimer. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. Frances Murray on November 4. Mrs. Olive M. Tyler is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Cora Swisher of Dayton. Mr. and Mrs. II. Moffett Engles are the proud parents of a new boy born on Tuesday. p Mrs. Lydia Jarrett returned Saturday from a visit with relatives at Abington and Centerville, Ind. " Mrs. D. II. Crowe of Richmond spent Wednesday with her daughter, Mrs. Maddonna Crowe Baker at the Baker house. Wednesday afternoon about one o'clock a fire alarm was Bounded from the residence of Dr. C. A. Hawley. A blazing gasoline stove, which caused the scare was safely carried out and small damage was done to the house. S. V. Bish, a former barber of this place is now located in Converse, Indiana. Mrs. Viola Mills of Springfield, 111., who was called here on account of the death of her brother, Chas. Woofter, spent a few days this week here with Mrs. Sarah Mills and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Mills. Mrs. John W. Cook returned Wednesday evening from a visit with friends at Indianapolis. Miss Eleanor Smith of Richmond, who is afflicted with searlet fever is doing nicely. Miss Smith is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marrlman. Simon Cunningham who is receiving treatment at St. Elizabeth's hospital, Dayton, spent Wednesday and Thursday with home folks. Mrs. A. J. Canny returned with him to Dayton. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hoover spent Thursday in West Manchester. DUBLIN, IND. Clark Smith is home from Indianapolis for a short vacation. ECONOMY, Ind., Oct. 24. Fifty delegates from Greencastle, Newcastle, Richmond, Rerikey, Dunkirk, Winchester. Greensfork, Williamsburg and Huntswill attended the district meeting of The Methodist F'oreign Missionary society. The address was delivered Tuesday evening by Miss Liman, of China. Dinner and supper were served in the basemen of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Albert N. ('hairiness, of Richmond, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thornburg, of West River. Miss Myrtle Martin, who Is teaching at Williamsburg, came home Tuesday night to attend the Methodist missionary meeting. Guests at Dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Mendenhall and Mi:-s Josie Denney at dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mailing Sunday. Mrs. I. aura Flemming was at Hagerstown Tuesday afternoon. CAMBRIDGE CITY. Ind.. Oct. 24 Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Luddington entertained a number of friends at a house warming Thursday evening at their home on Maple street. The table was adorned with a centerpiece of autumn flowers intermingled with green. Covers were laid for Messrs and Mesdames Ferd Romer. B. K. Strattan, f. H. Ohmit. R. C. Leslie, E. R. Calloway and F. M. Murray. Following the dinner five hundred added further to the pleasure of the evening.
