E LODGE TO
GIVE BIG MINSTREL Daily Rehearsals Will Start on the First of Next Week.
A big minstrel with a cast of forty or fifty will be given by the Moose lodge on October 13 and 14. The cast will begin rehearsals Sunday under the direction of the Rummel-Stevens syndicate, which put on the Eagles minstrels last year. Bert Stevens of the syndicate said today that the plans for the big minetrel have been completed and are in a shape to comprehensively practice the parts at once. The Fall Festival has caused a delay although after Sunday, the rehearsals will be held daily. The minstrels will probably be given at the Gennett theatre. After their engagement here, Stevens and Hummel will fill contracts In a number of towns and cities in eastern Ohio, including Hamilton, Middletown and others.
NOTICE. Members of Richmond Lodge, No. 196, F. and A. M., and all Masons in good standing, are requested to meet at the temple Friday at 2:45 p. m., to attend the funeral of Brother Hamilon Todd. By Order of W. M.

Martin Wolfer, city, took second prize for the next best honey. Stephen Kuth, chairman of the vegetable and fruit committee, had the largest number of varieties of finest potatoes on free exhibition but did not compete for prize.
HORS
E
AWARDS
Horse entries in the show exhibited along North Tenth street yesterday afternoon and this morning, failed to show the quality of horses which was shown here four years ago, according to K. K. Kirk, of Newcastle. Mr. Kirk was judge at the first Fall Festival held in Richmond four years ago, and he believes Wayne county horses are deteriorating. Though many fine animals were entered they failed to eco as high as those of four years ago. The prize of $10 for the best city work team was won by a team owned by the Starr Piano company. Second prize was captured by Charles Zuttermeister's dray team. Omar Whelan's horse captured the honors in general purpose class of 4-year-old geldings. Six dollars was the first prize, while the second prize of $3 was taken by a horse owned by Doan & Klute. First prize for stallions four years old or older, was awarded to a horse owend by William Fleiach. The first prize was $8, and the second prize, awarded to Daniel Boyer, was $4. Roland Fitzgibbons took first and second prizes for mares over four years old. Six dollars was the first and $3 the second prize. Stallions two years old and under were among the best horses shown. The first prize was awarded to C. H. given to J. C. Glunt. The prize for one year old stallions was awarded to F. M. Clevenger first, and William Flelsch, second. Other awards had not been made up to a late hour, and will be announced tomorrow.

Visitors Crowd City
The largest crowd ever assembled in Richmond was here today to see the various exhibits and to witness the great industrial parade. It was estimated at 10 o'clock there were 10,000 out of town people in the city and thev were still pouring in in special interurban cars, special trains,, automobiles and every other kind of vehicle. When the parade started at 1:30 this afternoon it was estimated that it was witnessed by nearly twice the population of Richmond. Two hundred tickets were sold at the Pennsylvania station at Greensfork this morning and many people in that locality drove to Richmond. All business was suspended at Fountain City and the residents of that town came to Richmond practically en masse. Cambridge City, Centerville, Milton, Hagerstown, Boston and other county towns were practically depopulated while hundreds of people

The immense crowd was a very orderly one and the police had very little difficulty in handling them but the traffic officers on the principal corners had a man's sized job to prevent serious accidents. The city has been well protected from the usual gang of crooks which flock to such events, but a few pickpockets succeeded in getting past the police cordon and two robberies were reported today. One woman had a purse snatched from her and a man had his pocket "dipped," losing a considerable sum of money.

To attempt a flight in such a wind would be suicidal." Kastory forfeits part of the fee he was to receive from the festival management for not making a flight this forenoon, but he says he is more than willing to do so.
