FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind., Sept. 30 Only the postmaster will remain in Fountain City Thursday, every one else will attend the Fall F'estival at Richmond. All the business men have signified their intention of closing their stores, andv the, schools have been dismissed for the day.'-The town will be more nearly depopulated than ever before in its history. The Lynn band will accompany . the delegation. Mr. and Mrs. Sarah . Ball attended the funeral of the former's sister, Mrs. Stephen Hutchins, at Williamsburg, Friday. The twin babies of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Charles have been sick for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Will Nation and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin, of Muncic, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor on Sunday. Contract for the new two-story fire engine house wars let by the town board Saturday. Fred Lacey was the successful bidder. Mr. Lacey's was the lowest of five bids submitted. Mis3 Mildred l);ivi3 was home from Cambridge City over Sunday. Attend Yearly Meeting. Fountain City nnrt vicinity furnished a large quota of visitors to Friends' Yearly Meeting at Richmond Sunday. Many have also been attending the daily sessions of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. IT. D. Pogershall, Mr. and Mrs. Ruford Woolley and baby, of this place, and Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Woolley and family of Williamsburg, were in Richmond Sunday the guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Dickinson. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Coggeshall, of Marion,- were guests of Melvin Coggeshall and Alva Study and families last week. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Benbow and baby of Dayton, Ohio, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coppeck. The following people will enter Karlham this fail: Misses Inez Swain, Eleanor Huff and Hazel Showalter; Messrs. Elmer and Harold Barnes. Melvin Coggeshall and daughters, Misses Emma and Ocie, were at Richmond Sunday the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Thomas and family. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Study, west of town, was the scene of a pleasant gathering Friday evening, when a party of guests were entertained. Light refreshments were served. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Chalmer Aughee, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Keever, Misses Emma and Ocie Coggeshall, Messrs. Forrest McGillard and F. M. Lamb, of this place and lr. and Mrs. Clarence Bins of Williamsburg. Mr. and Mrs. O. H.
