tile float display in the big parade. Chairman C. H. Igelman said that he had seen quite a few of the floats and that they are something new in the way of display. "There will be warm competition for the prizes offered' for the best and most unique floats," predicts Mr. Igelman. The mercantile section of the parade will be one of the finest ever seen at -a Fall Festival, he says.
Committee on Home Laundry Urges Women to Make Entries

land Mrs. Mora Bulla. A list of prem

TO MAKE SACRIFICES.
; Home Comers' Letters Encourage Members of Committee. Thousands of former residents of the city have written the Home Cora'ing committee of their intentions to 'return for the Fall Festival. The desire to visit the city and renew old acquaintances is so strong in the hearts of many that they will make unusual sacrifices to come. One man wrote that he would love to come and bring his family, but could not because the children had to have food and clothing. Others have written letters telling of sacrifices that must be made to revisit the city. The sentiment expressed by all is that Richmond is still "home" to them, no matter where they are or how long they have been away. With such expressions of love for the city pouring in, in every mail to ' members of the Home Coming com1 mittee Fred White and Charles Jor'dan feel that they can not overestimate the number of visitors. Sightseeing in Autos. On the afternoon of the first day of the Festival automobiles will be provided to take the visitors about the city to show the growth that has been made during the last five years. The starting points for these sightseeing trips will be announced later. The route will include Earlham College, Glen Miller Park, Easthaven, Reid Memorial Hospital, West Richmond and South Richmond. The original plan of having a big homecoming gathering at the Coliseum on the first night has been abandoned. The committee felt that there were already enough forms of amusement, and that the former residents would rather visit their friends than be crowded into the coliseum to listen No a program of some kind.
women throughout the county and in the city who do beautiful laundry work, of which they should feel very proud, and we ask their co-operation. Their excellent work if exhibited may be an incentive to some one else to endeavor to do better work. There is a crying need for better laundry work, so help the good cause along and encourage everyone concerned with your personal exhibit. Eery piece will help to make a good and successful display. The "canned fruit" committee also requests that women will feel a great interest in their department and hope that many entries may be made in the next two days. Your fruit or vegetables will be appreciated very much.
NO ANARCHYATTEMPT Socialism Discussed by Florence Wattles.
Anarchy is not being attempted to socialism, said Miss Florence Wattles,
of Kokomo, who spoke to a large crowd at the corner of Ninth and Main streets last evening. "Socialism is not trying to condemn the trusts and the big organixers of large and powerful industries. It is trying to get the trusts under Socialist control for the benefit of the other S5.000.000 persons."
Ceylon's 1913 tea crop Is estimated at 180,000.000 pounds.

Jack White, a former Richmond boy, will give his act three times a day at 1:30 p. m., 3:30 p. m., and 9 p. m. White, who has been in the amusement business for -- several years, will stretch a wire from the top of Quigley's Drug store to the top of the Eggemeyer building. Before taking up his present profession White looped the gap on a motorcycle. While in Richmond he was an employe of the Starr Piano factory.
The high physical qualifications necessary before a man will be employed on the Pennsylvania lines, accounts for the remarkable record on the Richmond division during the last year. Of the 1,300 employes none who are receiving relief from the association is suffering from tuberculosis. , Last year this disease caused only one death. The physical examination to which applicants are subjected is so exacting that only ten out of every hundred are accepted for employment on the lines.

QUALITY IS THE
TRUE TEST OF CHEAPNESS
A business with boast save prices permanent success, get to remember-
nothing to is rarely a Don't for--please that
"Recollection of Quality" remains long after price is forgotten. Price can often be used as a strong argument in some lines of business, because a cheaper grade often answers the purpose of the purchaser. But
IN THE DRUG BUSINESS it is different. Cheap drugs will never take the place of pure highgrade ones. Quality regardless of price should be the chief consideration of careful drug buyers. What you buy at Conkey's in the line of drugs and medicines will be of right quality, and the price will be right, too. Right goods, right service and right prices are usually closely associated.
