MILTON, Ind., Sept. 18. The Christian church will hold a home coming Sunday. A special effort is being made to have as many former members as possible attend. A program of musical numbers and addresses is being arranged. Mrs. S. Teraplin and daughter, Mrs. Curjt Little-were in Richmond, Wednesday. Miss Nellie Jones entertained with a music recital by her music pupils, Saturday afternoon. Society Meets. A large number of the Ladies' Aid of the M. E. church attended the meeting with Mrs. F. M. Leverton, Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Frank Connelly has returned from a visit at Cincinnati and New Trenton. Robert Baker, of Muncie. is visiting hie uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. L. 'B. Ward and family. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hoshour entertained Mrs. Perry Voorhes and Mrs. 'Wilbur Hunt, of. Cincinnati, and Mrs. 'Anna Hoshour, Wednesday evening. The Milton Drum Corps will have a (market and a festival on the lawn near Dr. Sweeney's office, Saturday afterInoon and evening. The market will open at 5 p. m. Install Record Cabinets. The Big Four Railroad company is putting in record cabinets at the Big Four station here. Mrs. Amanda Brattain. of East Germantown, was the guest of friends here, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. George Kelsey are entertaining their neice, Miss Irene Kelsey, of Fort Wayne. Elijah Hurst, of near Connersville, was the guest of relatives and friends here, Wednesday. Mrs. Harry Doty entertained her sister-in-law, Mrs. Alvin McClung, of Salem, West Virginia, Wednesday. Mrs. McClung has been the guest of her parents at Richmond. To Attend Reunion. Messrs. F. M. and Willis Leverton and families have received an invitation from Dr. and Mrs. Charles Leverton reunion at that place, Sunday. The invitation came as a surprise as the Milton families did not know of the existence of the families at Marion. They prove, however, to be descended from the same ancestor. Mrs. W. H. Swope has returned from a two weeks' visit with her relatives at Indianapolis. Her niece, Miss Emma Barrett, accompanied her
home. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bailey left Wednesday enroute for their home at St, Paul, Minn. D. H. Warren is not so well again. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Bertsch will make their home at East Germantown this winter. W. L. Parkins is sick and unable to be at his store. Word has been received that the Rev, C. H. Pinnick, former pastor of Milton M. E. church, could not attend the present session of the Indiana M. E. conference on account of the death of his brother, Raymond Pinnick, at French Lick. Has Well Drilled. Henry Hussey has haa a new well drilled at his home west of town. James Revelee, of Cambridge City, did the work. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Huddleston are entertaining Miss Emma Barrett, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Blanche Morris Hines, of Dayton, is expected this week to be the gust of Mrs. Walter Templin, Mrs. Ernest Doty and other friends. Mrs. Charles Hale and Mrs. Benton "Wagner were at Connersville, Wednesday. Henry Lantz and grand-daughter, Miss Evelyn Lantz, left Wednesday morning enroute for Washington, D. C. Ivan Parkins left Monday for Wabash College to resume his studies. CENTERVILLE GIRLS LEHOR-SCHO0L Miss Burgess and Miss Willets Will Attend Indiana University. CENTERVILLE. Ind., Sept. 18. Miss Charlene Burgess and Miss Wlllets, of the Doddridge settlement left this morning for Bloomington where they will attend Indiana University. Walter Spahr, who has been spending the summer in Detroit will return the last of the week. He expects to enter Earlham college this fall. Mrs. Fred Do Noe of Richmond spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hatfield. Sister Dies In Kansas. Relatives here received word of the death of Mrs. Wm. Elliott of Kansas. Mrs. Elliott was a sister to Mrs. Geo. McConaha and to Charles Caleb and Lafayette Jackson of this place. Mr. Henry Lantz and 'granddaughter, Evelyn Lantz, of Los Angeles, Cal., who came the first of the week to visit John and Amanda Lantz left Wednesday for Washington City where Miss Evelyn will enter the National Cathedral school at Mt. St. Nban. Miss Rosella Mathews spent the first of the week with relatives in Cambridge City. Rev. Mitchell Moves. Rev. Mitchell has moved into the Peele property on Plum street. The fourteen months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Barridaile died Wednesday morning after several days illness of Cholera infantum. Ray Burris of Connersville is visitins Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Stevens and family. LARGE OWL KILLED MILTON, Ind.. Sept. IS. A large monkey faced owl, measuring thirtyelx Inches from ths tip of one wing to another, was killed today by Lindley Baker on his farm, and will be mounted by Dr. Littell of Cambridge City. The specimen is reararded one of the largest killed in western Wayne county for many years. The German police of Africa are mounted on zebras, and these animals hare been found to be very successful Ms mounts. .
