The first institute of Wayne county teachers will be held at the Richmond high school Friday Sepxember 5lit which time all teachers in the cojunty outside of Richmond will be here for the purpose of learning from the county school officials what they are expected to do relative to putting the vocational training law into effect in the various schools of the county. Supt. C. O. Williams will make an address before the teachers in the afternoon session, explaining the plans of the officials for the ensuing year. The teachers will be urged to stimulate interest in as many of the vocational phases of the school work as possible. Will Teach Sewing. In many of the smaller schools the cooking instructions will be only from the text books and the experiments performed in the homes, for which the children will receive credit. Supt. Williams will ask County Agricultural Agent A. D. Cobb to instruct the pupils of the schools as to the scoring of corn and other grains. Various phases of stock judging will be lectured on at the schools by the agent. The new compulsory education law will be explained by Truant Officer George Bishop.
