SOCIAL EVENTS FOR SATURDAY A fdenic will be held at Glen Milled Park by the ladies auxiliary of the United Commercial Travelers. The families of the members will bo privileged to attend. A dance will be given in the pavilion at Jackson Park. Piano and drums will furnish the dance music. Mrs. George Bond of Baltimore, Maryland, who is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Saharon E. Jones, will entertain in honor of her sister, Miss Edna Jones, a bride of this month, at her parents home in North Thirteenth street.

FOR MISS SMITH. An attractive social event for today was the party given this afternoon toy Mrs. Myron Crane at her home, 135 South Eleventh street, when she entertained in honor of her guest, Miss Winifred Smith of Pomeroy, Ohio. Field daisies and ferns were used in arranging the different rooms. Bridge was played at three tables. Favors were given. The guests were Mrs. Robert Crane, Miss Arline Shreeve, Jliss Mildred Bockhoff. Miss cnarlotte, Allison, Miss Lucy Smyser, Miss Franklyn Stewart of Logansport, Indiana, Miss Helen Nicholson, Miss Marie Gibbs of Louisville, Ky., Miss Ruth Marlatt, Miss Viola Wirkemeyer, Miss Mabel Hasemeier, Miss Vivian King, Mrs. Charles Williamson and Mrs. Arthur Curme, Jr., of Indiana polls. FOR HER GUESTS. Adding much to the pretty social events scheduled for today was the afternoon party given by Miss Ruth Hadley at her home in North" Thirteenth street, when she entertained in honor of Miss Helen Coffin of New Vienna, Ohio? Miss Grace Ilenning, of Dayton, Ohio, and Miss Mildred Carter of West Alexandria. The rooms were arranged with many pretty garden flowers. An interesting contest had been arranged for the pleasure of the guests. Favors were given. The various contests were arranged in neat little booklet form engraved with the four leaf clover. The clover idea was carried out in many of the appointments. During the afternoon an informal musical program was presented. Miss Ruth Yeo, and Miss Helen Coffin played several Instrumental numbers. Miss Agnes Kelly sang a beautiful solo. This was followed by violin numbers presented by Miss Ruth Scott and Miss Cornelia Shaw. Miss Martha Scott played the accompaniments. After the program a luncheon was served. Four leaf clovers .were given as favors. The guests invited to meet Miss Hadley's honor gusts were Miss Lila, Miss Jane and 'Miss Marion Stevenson, Miss Agnes and Miss Iois Kelly, Miss Mable and Miss Marie Johns, Miss Mary Butler, Miss Ruth Yeo, Missv Cornelia Shaw, Miss Mary Mather, Miss Pauline Foster, Miss Eleanor Gifford. Miss Hilda Kidder, Miss Esther Gard, Miss Lucile Nusbaum, Miss Jessie Mendanhall and Miss Ethel Bennett. Yesterday afternoon a picnic was given at Glen Miller by Miss Hadley for her guests. Mrs. Emraa Hadley chaperoned the party.

DINNER AT HOTEL. Rev. Father Cronin entertained the following guests to dinner Thursday at the Hotel Westcott, Mr. D. L. South. Mr. T. W. Morgan of Rushville, Indiana, and Mr. E. E. Stroup of Slieiby-ville.

EARNEST WORKERS. The Earnest Workers, an organization of the Central Christian Church were entertained yesterday afternoon by Mrs. Gist at her home in South Thirteenth street. The hours were spent at work.

FOR MISS JONES. Arranged throughout in a most attractive manner was the pretty shower, miscellaneous in nature, given this afternoon by Miss Mamie Lott at her home, 174 Bridge Avenue. The rooms where the guests were entertained were decorated with garden flowers and ferns. The afternoon was spent socially and with needlework. The guests arranged at this time to send a box of gifts to Miss Vivian Daugherty, whose engagement was announced in these columns recently. She will be married the thirtyflrst of this month. Miss Daugherty is a member of the Epsllon Kappa Gamma sorority of this city and the guests entertained this afternoon by Miss Lott are members of the same sorority. Miss Jones was given many beautiful gifts. After a pleasant social time the guests were invited to the dining room where a dainty repast was served. TO CONNERSVILLE. Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Bond and family, who have had a residence in South Seventh street, -will leave in about a fortnight for Connersville, Indiana, where they will have a permanent residence. Their many friends regret to see them lave, but wish them happiness in their new home.
