I MILTON MILTON, Ind., June 21 O. B. Bryant and son Ralph, were Rlchmnod visitors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Connely have as their guests Mrs. Oraef Cramer and children of Elwood. Mr. Cramer joins his family here today. Somewhat Improved. Mrs. H. H. Heist has received -word from Mrs. Katie Heist Dunlap. that her father, George Heist, had returned from Hutchinson, Kan., on June 13, to his home at Kansas City. He is somewhat Improved, but it is thought that he will never be able to walk much, If any. He was paralyzed while on a visit at Hutchinson some months ago. Mr. Heist Is well known in Western Wayne county. Sunday services at the Christian church. Bible school at 9:15. The Endeavor will meet at the usual hour In the afternoon. Sunday services at Friends church. Sunday school at 9:15; preaching both morning and evening by the pastor, Rev. Mary Mills; Endeavor will meet at the usual hour. Sunday services at the M. E. church. Sunday school at 9 : 15 r preaching by the pastor, Rev. F. M. Westhafer, both morning and evening; Ep worth League at the usual, hour. Miss Sarah Williams, who has been employed by O. H. Beeson. has taken employment at the county jail in Richmond. ' The Rebekah lodge will meet Tuesday, evening. "The funeral services of the late William Skillman were conducted at the home Thursday afternoon by the Rev. P. M. Westhafer. The burial was at Raleigh. - Emerson Gause has secured employment In the proofreading room at the National Cash Register office in Dayton, O. Mrs. Frank Donnelly and Mrs. Cramer and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ferris Friday. Eastern Star Entertained. The ladies of the Eastern Star entertained at a thimble party with Mrs. W, E. Williams Thursday afternoon. There were about -fifty ladies In attendance, Including Mesdames Earl f oxworthy, J. C. Norris, Thomas Peet. F. M. Murray, Charles Wheeler. Fred Goebel, George Babcock and Wesley Cornell of Cambridge City. The afternoon was delightfully spent ei .Refreshments were served. v 'J f. Mrs. Reba Rudy and Mrs. Earl Sells of Anderson, who have been visiting here, went to Richmond last evening to be the guests of Mrs. J. M. Lontz. Fred Steincamp of Dayton was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Porter Thursday and Friday. Mrs. Charles Harte entertained tho Two o'Clock Club Thursday afternoon. A delicious luncheon of three courses was Berved. The club has disbanded until September on account of the hot weather. "At Home" Given. A very pretty "at home" was given Thursday afternoon by Mrs. John Teetor. The rooms were very attractive in- their decorations of field daisies and American Beauty roses. Roses were given as favors. Miss Gwyneth Teetor and Miss Esther Porter presided at the punch bowl In the library. Music was furnished by a Victrola and was a pleasant feature of the afternoon.
