RICHMOND IN NEED OF 10,000 TREES

Recommended to Commercial Club that Movement Be Started Now.

REPORT ON "CLEAN-UP"

Mrs. Stephens Suggests that Civic Supervisor Be Appointed.

( Reports were submitted to the ditectors of the Richmond Commercial Club Monday evening by Chairman John F. McCarthy of of the "Clean-Up-Week" committee, and Mrs. F. W. Stephens relative to action which might be taken by the Commercial Club ,ln making the city more beautiful. Mr. McCarthy called the attention 'of the directors of the club to the many:plots between the sidewalks and curbs which are sadly neglected and are unsightly because of the absence of grass. Almost every square in Richmond needs more trees, according 'to Mr. McCarthy. f Shade Trees Needed. It was recommended that an organized movement properly managed and indorsed by the Commercial Club

be Instituted and that ten thousand shade trees be placed in places in this city where most needed. . It was further recommended that dead or dying trees which areuneightly. be cut out and replaced. Mrs. Stephens believes a civic supervisor should be appointed to carry on the excellent work started by the cdVnmittee which directed the work of cleaning Richmond several weeks ago. Receptacles for Ashes. : It was further suggested that ash receptacles be placed anout the city ?at crosswalks wherein people may 'throw rubbish instead of scattering it 'ttbout the streets.

Aged, Wrinkled Faces Easily Rejuvenated

From The Beauty Seeker. An aged face is often a mast to a comparatively youthful person. Beneath is a countenance young and fair to look upon. It's simply a matter to remove the mask. Ordinary mercolized wax, to be had at any drug store, gradually absorbs the worn out surface; in a week or two the user has the loveliest pinky white complexion imaginable. An ounce of the wax is usually sufficient to complete the transformation. It is put on at night like cold cream and taken off in the morning with warm water. This remarkable treatment is invariably effective, no matter how muddy, sallow or discolored the complexion. Freckles, moth patches, liver spots, pimples, blackheads and other cutaneous blemishes, naturally vanish with the discarded skin. To remove wrinkles, her is a recipe that cannot be too highly recommended: Powdered saxolite, 1 oz., dissolved in -pint witch hazel. Use as a wash lotion. It acts instantaneously and is wonderfully effective. (Advertisement)
