Mrs. Charles Pike left Friday for a i week's visit with her parents at Monticello, Ind. j Mrs. Celeste Bond of Cambridge j City, spent Friday with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hurst, and family. Julian Dunbar and Clem McConaha j of Richmond, went to Indianapolis Thursday to spent the week end wiht Walter Dunbar and wife. Zehrung & Scott have moved their j shoe store into their newly furnished ' room in the I. O. O. F. building. Joseph ! Doren will move his restaurant into : the room formerly occupied by them. Miss Balkis Plnnick is visiting with friends in Farmland for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Black and son tT- guests Sunday of William Paxton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Land and son, Horatio, of Richmond, were guests of Mrs. Land's mother, Mrs. C. Walker, Sunday. Mrs. O. A. Taylor and son of Frankton, and O. B. Taylor of Richmond, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. U. S. Taylor here. Mrs. Jay is spending a few days with Mrs. Howren in Dublin. R. J. Lasbley returned to his home in Fairbury, Neb., Monday after an extended visit with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. John Medearis and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Commons spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Omar McConaha and family south of town. Levi Gould was called to Dresden, O., the latter part of the week on account of the death of his brother, William Gould, who has been ill for some time. He will return the first of the week. Mrs. Harry Frazier of Connersvllle is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Higgins, south of town. Mrs. Henry Williams and Mrs. L. Gamble of Greensfork, spent Monday with Nathan Maudlin and wife. Children's day exercises were held Sunday evening at the Christian church. The program consisted of songs and drills. Tracy Clark of Indianapolis and Les ter Hart of this place, spent Sunday with friends in Fountain City. Miss Geneve Home has been spending several days with Perry Russell and family at New Madison, 0. Several friends of Ernest Black surprised him on his fifteenth birthday. Games and music were the feature or the afternoon's entertainment, followed by lunch. He received many presents. Those present were Frank Ladd, Albert Anderson, Robert Kenworthy, Ilerschel Chamness, Iva King, Prentice Chamness, Everett Eliason, Russell Jackson, Horace Statts, Malcolm Beck, Ray Mathews, Maurice Albright, Russell McMinn, Raymond Brookhart, Earl Chamness, Ernest Black, Iva Black and John Black. SENT TO HOME Matilda McKee, colored, was sent to the Home for Friendless Women yesterday afternoon. She is believed to be insane, and will be held until her condition improves. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.
