Iumbus bankers, at Ogden halL The group includes the bankers and trust company officials of fifteen counties Shelby. Bartholomew;! Henry. Rush, Decatur, Jennings, Jefferson. Wayne, Fayette, Ripley, Switzerland, Frank
lin, Ohio, Dearborn and Union. The chairman of the group is Frank Griffith, cashier of the First National bank of Columbus, and the secretary is J. W, Johnson, cashier of the Patriot Deposit bank. Patriot. All Richmond banks will be represented. The chief subject to come before the meeting will " be the state-wide movement of the Indiana Bankers' association on how bankers may help tne farmer develop the agricultural resources of the state. The tariff regulation, elastic currency and similar subjects have this year been relegated to the rear by ail Indiana bankers, who see that in helping the farmer produce greater crops is something close at home to which the bankers can give their efforts and which will yield immediate returns to the, people of their own counties. . The speakers at the Columbus meeting will be Prof. G. I. Christie, of Purdue university, who by the farmers is regarded as the leader of farm development in this state; Colonel J. L. McCulloch, of Marion, president of J the Indiana Bankers association, and Andrew Smith, secretary of the state organization. It is the intention to bring the bank ers of these fifteen counties into close relationship with the state conference on agriculture and country life in In diana, which the Indiana Bankers' As sociation has called for June 3 and 4 at Indianapolis. The state conference will be for the purpose of discussing

Club was held Wednesday afternoon at the home of the Misses Ethel and Mary Bertsch. The entertainment took the form of a musicale. Frani Abt's "Summer,' given by eight members of the club, duets and solos, both vocal and instrumental, composed the program. During the hour which followed refreshments were served. Lil-lies-of-the-valley. the club flower were used as favors. Mrs. Virginia C. Meredith has returned to Norborough farm for the summer after several months spent at Lafayette. Rev. T. J.
