E. E. KING WITHDRAWS Howeils Only Progressive Candidate in Fifth.

Councilman E. E. King from the fltth ward has made a statement to

Howard Brooks, city chairman of the Progressive party, that he will not run for re-election for councilman. The only other candidate for the Progressive-nomination now known is Frank Howeils. The Fifth ward Is the largest ward in the city. - Pau HIixon, a St. Louis railroad clerk forgot an appointment at which be was to claim a legacy of $62,500.
