(Palladium Special) EATON, O., April 28. Fire of unknown origin Sunday afternoon partially destroyed a barn in the rear of the Martin Rehfuss property and communicated with another nearby shed, which was slightly damaged. Burning embers from the building were carried south by the wind and a small blaze broke out on the roof of the home of the Misses Wilson. Neighbors climbed upon the house and ex

tinguished the flame. A small amount of hay and other articles belonging to J. V. Gray were consumed in the Itehfuss stable. Painfully Injured. Paul, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Plummer, fell from a swing at the north school building and was painfully injured. The lad fell face downward and one tooth was driven far up into his gum and another broken off. Verdict of Guilty. After a deliberation of four and onehalf hours in the case of the state against John Black, 36, married farmer residing near Eaton, who was charged with having criminally assaulted 15yearold Edith Paxton, of Richmond, a verdict of guilty was returned Saturday night by a jury in the common pleas court. Black's attorneys have filed motion for new trial and he is

out under bond of $1,000. The alleged crime is said to have taken place December 21, 1912, while the girl was employed as a domestic in Black's home. t Seeks Divorce. , Claiming Avilful absence fqr more than three years, Rosa V. Wysong has filed suit for divorce from Charles Wysong, to whom she was married April 21, 1901. She also seeks the custody' of their two daughters, aged 10 and 11. The defendant is an employe at the State Epileptic hospital at Gallipolis. Campbell Funeral. Governor Johnson suggested that j the session be opened to the public. The party which met Mr. Bryan con-1 sisted of Governor Johnson, Democrat- j ic leader Tom Fox and State Senator J Caminetti. To newspaper men Mr. Bryan said

he had made no plans and it was impossible for him to say just what he would do. In explaining why no delegation of Democratic legislators were sent' to meet Mr. Bryan Senator Caminetti said, "we as Democrats decided that we would in no way embarrass

PRESIDENT IS WAITING. WASHINGTON, April 28. President Wilson will take no further action in the California-Japanese situation until he receives word from Secretary Bryan as to the latter's success in Sacramento.
