Mr. Beard, who is a telegraph operator on . the - Burlington railroad is on a months vacation. Mrs. R. V. Hail or Richmond, spent Thursday with G. E. Calloway and family. Mr. and Mrs . Harry Morris spent Thursday in Indianapolis. Mrs. Ada Keplar has returned to Richmond after , everal days spent with Mrs. George Butler. Mrs. Harry Shipman of Indianapolis has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Garrett. Frank Repp went to Dayton Wednesday to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Repp, who reside in the west part of the city. The fourth section of the Social Union will hold an all day meeting next Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Katherine Drischel. Mrs. M. H. Gaar and son Howard, j are improving after an illness of sev-; eral days. j Mr. and MrB. L. S. Howell of Dayton, were visitors Wednesday night ithe home of the latter's sister, Mrs. Charles Hageman, leaving Thursday morning for their new home in Penn-1 sylvania. Mrs. Jack Harper was hostess Thursday afternoon for a meeting of the Young Married Ladies card club. The game was played at four tables at the conclusion of which a lunch was served. After a visit of several days in the home of her aunt, Mrs. A. R. Feemster, Miss Lois Phillips, of Lima, O.. left Wednesday for Oklahoma City. Mrs. Feemster and son Robert, accompanied her as far as Indianapolis. Lee Toms, of Dayton, is a visitor in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Toms. Mr. Toms, was caught, in the flood but swam to a place of safety in the Y. M. C. A. building, where he remained until the waters receded and he returned to his home. John Campbell this week purchased and presented his daughter, Miss Edith, with a beautiful Krell piano. Mrs. W. H. Gaar, the mother of M. H. Gaar, is very sick at her home In Germantown. A meeting of the Home Economic section of the Helen Hunt club will be held Monday afternoon In the Presbyterian church at which time Mrs. A. G. Phillips of Lafayette will address the ladles on the subject "The Kitchen." Miss Bessie Bunce of this city and Carl Cooney of Milton, were married Tuesday evening by the Rev. A. V. Scheldler at his home in this city. They will reside in Indianapolis, where the groom is employed as a moulder. Mrs. L: R. Gresh of Milton, spent Thursday "with 'her sister, Mrs. E. R. Mr. Davis who was the principal of the township high school last winter has mpved to Richmond where he will attend Earlham. Miss Ruth Leverton entertained the following young people Tuesday evening'' Paul Garrett, Vesper Richardson, Willard, Pearl and Howard Cook, Charles Marlatt, Jesse and William Huddleston, and the Misses Florence Daniel, Lorene Hess, Laura Rothemel, Sarah Williams, Serena lloshour and Mae Weaver. The "Parent-Teachers" association will meet at the Milton high school room Friday at 4:40 p. m. A paper will , be given by a member of the association in which Ethics and Hygiene of dress for Schoolgirls will be discussed. The Christian church Bible school will givt an old fashioned social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Jones, Friday: evening, April 11. The proceeds vwlll be used to buy bibles for the school. The Rebekah Degree lodge after the closing of the lodge rermained for a social hour. Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Manlove and children, of Cambridge City, Mrs. Lydia Moore and daughter. Miss Ethel Moore and William Manlove, of Bentonviile made an auto trip to Richmond Monday. The W. C. T. U. met with Mrs. G. A. Borders Tuesday afternoon. Readings were given by Mrs. Sam Hoehour, Mrs. McMahan and the Rev. F. M. Westhafer. Misses Christina and Thirza Dean of Moores Hill, have been guests of Miss Nettie Shank southeast of town. Mrs. Mary Walker and daughter Mrs. Clarence Laugston. of north of Dublin, were guests of Mrs. Walter Templln, Tuesday.
