Mr. Carl Hawley was entertained Saturday by Chestine Nelson at Milford Center, O. Mrs. Ben Saxton and daughter of Richmond visited relatives here Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Ingram and daughters, Jessie and Dorothy, of near Madison, spent Sunday with S. I. Horner and family. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Bogan and Mr. O. H. King returned Friday after spending the winter in St. Petersburg, Florida. ' Mrs. Joe Weadick and little daughter Mary Catherine, of Camden, O., spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John O'Dea and Miss Mary O'Dea, Miss Elma Horner of Gettysburg, Darke county, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Horner. Mr. and Mrs. Will Wrenn entertained Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. J. Jones and children and Mr. and Mrs. Ben McKee. Mrs. Chas. Roach and children returned to their home in Xenia, O., Sunday after spending several weeks with her mother, Mrs. Mary Mungavin and family. Mr. Chas. McPherson of Liberty, O., spent Sunday with T. J. Canny and family. Mr. Patrick O'Dea and Mr. John Briitt of Richmond spent Sunday here. Mrs. Geo. Arnold and little daughter, Beverly, returned Friday after an extended visit with her uncle, C. C. Wrenn and family of Odessa, Fla. CAMBRIDGE CITY CAMBRIDGE CITY, March 25. George Boden spent Monday with relatives in Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Garrettson, of Knightstown, spent Sunday with F. J. Scudder and family. Miss Julia Boyd returned to Indianapolis, Monday, after having spent Sunday at her home in this city. Mrs. Howard Elliot and son, Robert, have returned to New Castle, after several days spent with her father, Enoch Highley, and other relatives. Harry Boden died at an early hour Monday morning, after a prolonged illness from tuberculosis. Mr. Boden was forty-five years of age, and with the exception of a short time in Chicago, bis entire life "was spent in Cambridge City. He was married to Miss Rose Funk, daughter of Martin Funk, twenty-two years ago. The wife and six children survive him. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. A thimble party will be given on Friday afternoon in the parlors of the Methodist church by the ladies of the first section of the Social Union. A market will also be held the same afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Will Pike spent Sunday with relatives in Lewisville. Mrst Caroline Coffin, the mother of Rev. J. E. Coffin of this city, celebrated the eighty-third anniversary of her birth at her home in Bloomington, last Saturday. Eight children, twenty grandchildren and fourteen greatgrandchildren were present. Mrs. Coffin is well known in Cambridge City, having frequently visited in the home qt her son, during his pastorate in this city. Mrs. Charles Heiger, of Richmond, is spending the week with her mother, Mrs. Johi Norris. Mrs. Virginia C. Meredith will go as delegate from the Franchise league of Western Wayne, to the State convention, in Indianapqjis, April 2 to 5. "3 Mrs. Raymond Ferguson and daughter Miss Ruth, spent Saturday in Indjanapolis. Mr. and Mrs. John Beard wall go to Chicago Wednesday to spend a week or ten days wth their children, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Beard. Miss Elizabeth Bertsch. Friends of Mrs. Jepnie Jones, widow of the late Benjamin Jones, a former resident of both this city and Dublin, will regret to learn that she is critically 111 with tuberculosis at her home In Indianapolis. Miss Esther, daughter of Frank Williams, has been critically ill with the measles. Abe Jeffers, of Richmond, was among the out of town people who attended the funeral of Van Thomas, Saturday. Frank Quinn of Muncie, is here visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Emeline Quinn. The New Garden Township High School commencement will be held on the evening of Friday, April 25th. The commencement at Greensfork will be held on the previous Thursday night and the1 one at Williamsburg on the following Saturday night. Saturday evening, April 12th, has been set as the date for the home talent play "Diamonds and Hearts" to be given by the Fountain City Dramatic club.
