John and Arthur Wolley, who was called here to attend the funeral of their father, returned to their respective homes in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ella Bloom left for Washington, D. C, Saturday to attend the inauguration and visit relatives. Miss Dorothy Kirkpatrick was the guest of Grace Stanley near Liberty, Ind., Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Geo. Crane and children spent Saturday In Eldorado. W. H. Garretson, mail carrier on Route 3 is taking a month's vacation the first for two years. , Mrs. John Cahill of Eaton is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John O'Dea. The 22nd annual Farmers' Institute was held Friday and Saturday and was a success and largely attended at all sessions. Mr. J. W. Nicodemus, of Van Wert, Ohio, J. A. Hummons of Leipsic, Ohio, and Mrs. Clara Smith Rogers of Cincinnati, O., were the state speakers. Miss Anna McCully of Dayton, Ohio, gave a very good talk on the phasesof Suffrage. Mrs. John O'Dea returned from a week's visit in Cincinnati. EATON EATON, O., March 3. Charles Trunck, of Dayton, spent Sunday here with his mother, Mrs. Martha Trunck. The members of the Unity Club will be entertained Friday night by Miss Stella Fouts and Miss Grace Smith at the Fouts home. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Bristow spent Sunday in Dayton with their sons, Elvin and Earl Bristow. William Stover, of Dayton, spent Saturday and Sunday in Eaton. Lester Homan, of Dayton, was here Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Carl Thoma, of Cincinnati, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Longnecker. Mm. J. E. Parker was entertained Saturday-afternoon by friends in Richmond. The Bible Study club will meet Monday, evening at the home of Miss Goldie Trunck, West High street. Mrs. J. E. Mann will entertain a company of ladies with a sewing Tuesday afternoon at her home on North Barron street. MOTORCYCLE NOTES I . A high-power motorcycle has been purchased by a malted milk company for the use of its bill board inspectors in England, France and Germany. ' The Cleveland (Ohio) Motorcycle club will make a 24-hour run to Indianapolis May 29-30 to witness the automobile races at the speedway. Patrdns on one of the Bird Islands, Minn., rural routes are elated over the fact that their mail carrier has purchased a motorcycle, and mail will now be delivered to them early in the day. Members of the Marion, Ohio, police force feel so keenly the need of a motorcycle in their .work that they have asked permission to raise sufficient money by public subscription to purchase one. In a recent lecture at the Kansas Agricultural College, the value of the motorcycle on the farm was emphasized and various types of motorcycles demonstrated. Three new motorcycles will constitute a part of the Eastern finery of the Grand Rapids, Iowa, police department. . The. Elton Automobile Company, of Youngatown, Ohio, has adopted motorcycles for use in its service department. Altoona, Pa., has fallen in line, and ordered a motorcycle for use in the police department. Lycurgus Beeson, who was called home from Florida by the illness of his sister, returned to St. Augustine Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Leverton entertained at dinner Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Revelee and family. Mrs. J. B. Murley and Mrs. Elizabeth Kimmel attended the Rebekah aid society at Cambridge City Thursday afternoon. Charles Shutz and son Will, were at Richmond Saturday to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams of Richmond, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Williams, south of town. Miss Luella Doddy was given a pleasant surprise Friday night. Will Shutz has accepted a position with J. W. Marson in the meat department, at Cambridge City. Jacob Kerber of Hamilton, Ohio, came to visit his parents Friday and attended the funeral of the late John Klieber, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Williams entertained at dinner, Dr. and Mrs. Will Wallace, Friday. Mesdames James Doddridge and Earl Doddridge have returned from Indianapolis. Raymond Kellum, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Kellum of west of Milton and Miss Myrtle Fink, of New Lisbon, ware married at Newcastle Thursday. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Julia Fink of New Lisbon. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kellum will live on George Bakers farm two miles west of Milton. Mrs. Viola Harden, who was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. E. B. Newman, for a few days, left Saturday for Dublin. Miss Selena Hale, of Dublin, was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Harden, Saturday. Mrs. Vene Beeson entertained the Home club Friday night. Among the features was a reading by Mrs. Charles Ferris. Linville Ferguson who has been in Indianapolis with his mother, was home Saturday. The teachers of the Milton townI ship schools attended the Institute at Richmond, Saturday. Mrs. Chas. Hale was at Richmond to visit her sister, Saturday. The Embroidery club will meet with Mrs. Frank DuGranrut Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. F. M. Westhafer will begin a revival service at the M. E. church Wednesday night. He has bought about 100 copies of the Gospel of St. Matthew, which he will dis tribute through the congregation for concert reading during the meetings. He is hoping that many will become Bible students during this meeting The Cary club gave a very interesting reception Thursday night, for their i husbands and friends, at the home of ! Mrs. L. H. The Old Fashioned party Friday night was largely attended and the committee in charge have decided to continue the parties, it being requested by those attending. The next one will be March 21st. Mrs. John Thompson and children and Mrs. Porter Thoruburg of New Castle are visiting here. Mrs. Chester Life spent Friday with Mrs. Jeannette Shiltneck at Richmond. The Two O'clock club met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Fred Smith. All members were present. The invited guests were Mrs. Jyle Jones, Mrs. James Knapp and Mrs. A. R. Jones. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Robert Thurston. A St. Patrick's dance will be given at the K. of P. hall Monday night. March 17th. Weisbrod's Saxaphone orchestra will furnish the music. The Alumni Association of the Hagerstown high school are arranging to give a home talent play on the nights of March 27 and 28. The play will be a four act comedy "To Rich to Marry." Mr. Akey Harrison, formerly an actor of much experience, will direct the play. Mrs. Robert Thurston and Mrs. j Fred Teets will entertain at a card party at the home of Mrs. Teets Fri day afternoon, March 7th. The twenty-second Annual Farmers' Institute of the New Paris Institute So ciety closed Saturday afternoon with a large meeting. The institute held yesterday and today was pronounced one of the most successful and profitable events of the kind ever held in this section. Three Ohio State lecturers were on the program, J. W.
