LARGE PROBLEMS COIIFROIITWILSOH Mexico Tariff, Currency Reform, and Trusts Demand Attention.
VIEWS NOT YET KNOWN Wilson Declines Aid of Taft in Considering Intervention. (Palladium Special) WASHINGTON, D. C, Feb. 26. Four great problems will compel the Immediate attention of Woodrow Wilson after his inauguration as president of the United States on Tuesday next. They are in the order of their importance as follows: Mexico. Tariff revision. Currency reform Trusts. To the three last named matters the new president is expected to refer in his inaugural address. He has not submitted this document, which he has Announced will be brief, to any of the senators and representatives believed to enjoy intimate relations with him. These leaders are hoping Mr. Wilson will abandon the policy of keeping his views to himself after he becomes president and will freely consult them. Mexico Offers Delicate Problem. Because of the situation in Mexico nd the possibility of an upheaval at any moment, Mr. Wilson must inform himself on the policy of the Taft administration and military preparations made with a view to intervention in case of need. President Taft was so anxious about the situation that he wrote to Mr. Wilteon offering to place at his disposal any information in his possession. This ,offer, it appears, was declined. Mr. Wilson evidently prefers not to be htound by anything he might learn (from his predecessor. The Democratic leaders do not expect intervention, but rather are inclined to believe Mr. Wilson will per mit conditions to remain as they are, in the hope that the Huerta government will be able to establish and maintain peace and order. It Is regarded highly probable as soon as he enters the White House President Wilson will appoint a new ambassador to Mexico to replace the present incumbent, Henry Lane Wilson. Will Study TaHff Revision. Congressman Underwood, chairman of the ways and means committee of the house, has informed Mr. Wilson of the work done by his committee in
Simple Yet Effective Lines in Furniture
It is very easy to overstep the bounds of good taste in furniture. Too lavish ornamentation or too garish destroys the charm. If overburdened with stately heaviness, few rooms can rise to the desired point of appropriate decorative effect. Our new stocks strike, we believe, a happy medium, neither offending nor perplexing. They settle the doubt happily for you and for us. While the designs and lines are not too ornate they are enough so to please and profit exacting purchasers.

BALDHEADED ROW Early Piety Not Always the Cause of Baldness Inasmuch as it is an accepted fact that baldness, falling hair and dandruff are caused by a germ, doesn't it stand to reason that the only way to prevent such calamaties is to kill the germs? And doesn't it stand to reason that the only way to kill the germs is to use Parisian Sage, which Leo H. Fihe has so much faith in that he guarantees it to cure dandruff, falling hair and itching of the scalp in two weeks, or money baok? Parisian Sage is a delightful hair tonic, pleasant to use. It is not sticky or greasy, and contains only those ingredients that will surely benefit. It is now sold by drugists all over America, and by Leo H. Fihe for 50 certs a large bottle. It is used ex-
i teneively by women who desire lux uriant hair with a radient luster. The girl with the Auburn hair is on every package. (Advertisement) connection with the preparation of bills revising tariff duties. It was the Underwood letters which caused Mr. Wilson to announce congress would be called in extra session on April Fools' day. Mr. Wilson has not indicated his approval or disapproval of what the committee has decided, so it is expected he will consult the entire committee, and also with the senate committee on finance, which will be charged with the duty of considering the tariff rates fixed by the house of representatives. Mr. Wilson further will talk with these senators and members and others also on the question of recommending currency reform during the extra session. Most of the members of the two houses are anxious that the tariff alone shall be considered at the extra session, and that the currency question go over until the regular session next December. Want Time For Report. It Is argued this would give ample time for the consideration of the reforms advised by the Pujo committee, which has just completed its money trust investigations, and the legisla-i tion which will be recommended by the hanking and currency committee. In order to be prepared to deal both I with the tariff and currency reform the house leaders have practically decided to have the new house organize but four committees, ways and means, banking and currency, rules and accounts. The house caucus will be held on the day following inauguration. So far as the trust question is concerned, Mr. Wilson is not expected to suggest any legislation during the entire session. This matter will be left for consideration at the regular session which will convene in December. In the meantime Mr. Wilson will proceed with the prosecution of combinations believed to be violating the law and will consult with his advisers as to the kind of legislation needed to CHARGE ACCOUNT
HARD MATTER TO SECURE LICENSE

THREATENS STATE FIGHT TRENTON, N. J., Feb. 26. Gov. Wilson warned the members of the New Jersey legislature tonight that, as president of the United States, he would feel privileged to come back even as early as next week to fight for pending reforms. Mr. Wilson resigned the governorship today to take effect Saturday. Both houses ..had hardly received his notice of resignation, when the assembly went on record by an overwhelming vote against pushing the jury reform bill from first to second reading. This bill had been urged particularly by Mr. Wilson in his message. It would take away the power to draw juries from the sheriffs, lodging it with a commission appointed by the governor. Mr. Wilson declared he might deliver several speeches in northern New Jersey, most of whose assemblymen voted in effect against the governor today. The president elect said if the jury reform bill were defeated he would consider that he was booked to speak in the primary campaign next fall against assemblymen seeking renomination who had voted against the measure. eight or ten years. Engineers surveying, the ground started the rumor that stakes were being set for buildings and tracks for a new railroad yard. S. W. .Hodgin, . division engineer, stated that the rumor had probably grown out of a fact that engineers had been sun-eying the ground to determine the amount of gravel which could be taken out of the gravel beds there. He stated that no plans had been made by the company for building any yards there and it will probably be several years before any thing is done with the land. Charles Green, chief clerk to the superintendent of this division stated that if the Pennsylvania railroad had any plans for making Richmond a terminal for the proposed Terre HauteRichmond division, nothing was known of it by local officials. He stated nothing that has been given out on this matter came from officials of the road and denied knowledge of any changes in the near future.
