Gustavo Madero, a brother of the deposed president, is said to have been condemned to death ty a courtmartial which sat during the night in the national palace. Diaz to Be Loyal. Gen. Felix Di'az, leader of the insurgent forces in the arsenal, agreed to lead his troops in person to the national palace today and swear allegiance to the new government. '
"I never had designs upon the presidency; I only wanted to see Madero out of office so we would have peace," said Diaz. 1 Ernesto Madero is under arrest. His property probably will be confiscated by the new government. Ex-President Madero is suffering from wounds inflicted upon him by his former staunch friend and supporter, Gen. Blanquet. When Blanquet approached Madero with an ultimatum that" he resign, the flery president attempted to draw a revolver but pianquet struck him in the face, knocking him to the floor. MISS NANCY LEISHMAN. PARIS. Feb. 19. Miss Nancy Irishman, favorite daughter of U. S. ported to have attempted to commit suicide. He is under guard. Congress Summoned. The national congress was summoned to meet today to select a successor to Madero. Under the Mexican constitution, Congress had to appoint Madero's successor secretary of date before he could succeed Madero as president. It was believed that Gen. Huerta will be chosen. The reaction from the long artillery battle which raged in the city ten days caused great crowds thronging the streets and many carried away pieces of shrapnel and bullets for souvenirs. "Via Diaz" and "Viva Huerta" rang
through the streets. Madero was

BY ESTHER GRIFFIN WHITE. Canned Richmond. That is what is to be brought about shortly according to an announcement in the news columns of this paper a few evenings ago. There will soon be immortality for all. It is the complete blotting out, the oblivion, the annihilation of personality that is the average person's bete noir. They will deny it. But the fact remains. It is that that hurts. That irritates. That galls. The idea of the world moving on without you is intolerable. Unbelievable. Incredible. The human entity is egoistic. It is only, as has been said here before perhaps, the terrific egotism of man that has invented an after life. Heaven is a man-made institution.
Life after physical death is the creation of the human mind. j Total annihilation of personality is impossible of conception. "I must live!" Hence our hand-made immortality. Maeterlinck says In his "Blue Bird," however, in effect, that immortality Is achieved only through the memories
of the living. He who is remembered is immortal. He who is forgotten is as If he never were. Pushed to the last ditch., Tobbed of tradition, stripped of creeds we all know that this life ends personality. There is nothing in nature to dis
prove it. Everything to confirm it. Modern science has devised ways and means of preserving personality, however. And it is but a matter of a short time when there will be more human records on tap than the necromancer of the middle ages ever dreamt of. One of these short and easy roads to immortality is by the route of the moving picture. Celebrities have recognized it. Among the first Bernhardt. That canny individuality. No-one desires to impress her actual replica more surely on the coming generations than the "divine Sara." Not bo divine, either.
Save in her conception of Herself. Sara wanted to be remembered. She, Sarah! Not her reputation, nor in history but the actual moving, breathing human entity. So she put herself before the moving-picture camera. And will go down the1 ages. There is the "canned voice." We can hear all the wonders of the greatest singing voices existing since the invention of the graphaphone in all the latter's varieties. Great poets have given their spoken word to posterity. Famous orators and musicians have impressed their eloquence and their art on the mechanical record. Now comes the moving picture to immortalize the living human entity. Not on canvas, not through the medium of paint and pencil and the photographic camera. Not catching a fugitive expression and impinging it as the characteristic
company to have as many persons on ; I the street as possible. j The mere reproduction of the town's
mise en scene will not be particularly ! impressive.
It is the human quality .that gives the pictures their fascination. That famed "human interest" will be the thing that will count. Therefore it is hoped that as many persons will be abroad as possible. The streets full of people.

Later the films will go wherever moving picture theaters exist. And that is almost everywhere.

Try It! Says Sage Tea Darkens And Beautifies Faded, Gray Hair
i j II
Mixed With Sulphur Makes Hair Soft and Luxuriant and Removes Dandruff
The old-time mixture of Sage Tea and Sulphur for darkening gray, streaked and faded hair is coming in
vogue again, says a well-known downtown druggist. It was our , grandmother's treatment and hundreds ot women end men too, are again using it to keep their hair in good, even color which is quite sensible, as we are living in an age when a youthful appearance Is of the greatest advantage. Nowadays, though, , we don't have the troublesome task of gathering the sags "and the mussy mixing at home. All drug stores sell the ready-to-use
product called "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy" for about 50 cents a botUe. It is the most popular because nobody can discover it has been applied. Simply dampen a soft brush or sponge with "Wyeth's Sage
and Sulphur" and draw through your hair taking one small- strand at a
time. Do this tonight, and by morning the gray hair disappears and after another application it Is restored to Its natural color. What delights the ladies with Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur is that besides beautifully darkening the hair they say it . produces that soft lustre and appearance of abundance which is so attractive; besides prevents dandruff, itching scalp and fallinz
hair. Here", you gray-haired folks, get J busy; look years younger.
